Steve Kerr Calls Draymond Green a 'Future Hall of Famer' After Warriors' Win
Steve Kerr heaped praise on Draymond Green after the Golden State Warriors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 113-104 on Tuesday night to set up a Western Conference Finals date with the Houston Rockets.
Speaking to reporters, the Warriors head coach referred to Green as a "future Hall of Famer:"
"The guy has huge energy, amazing defense, incredible basketball intellect. He's a future Hall of Famer. He's right in his prime right now, but this guy is the perfect modern-day NBA big. He can guard everybody, he can step out and make threes, he can handle the ball in transition. This is what the NBA has become, and you have to have somebody like Draymond to have a good team. So, we're lucky to have him."
Green finished with 19 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists in Game 5, becoming the first player in Warriors history to average a triple-double (14.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 10.0 assists) in a playoff series, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole.
Golden State's do-it-all forward will now turn his attention to the Rockets. He averaged 15.7 points, 10.7 boards and 9.7 dimes in three-regular season meetings with the Western Conference's No. 1 seed.
