Tim DanielsApr 28, 2018

The team of Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown holds a one-shot lead at 20 under after Saturday's third round of the 2018 Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana.

Kisner and Brown fired an eight-under 64 in Round 3, which was contested under a four-ball format. The final 18 holes will be played Sunday using foursomes (alternate shot).

Tony Finau and Daniel Summerhays as well as Michael Kim and Andrew Putnam are tied for second at 19 under.

The Zurich Classic, which switched to a team tournament last year, has suddenly become one of the PGA Tour season's most entertaining stops. It's unlike anything else on the schedule.

Along with players working together, a rarity outside of the Ryder and Presidents Cups, the event has embraced its unique nature with elements like walk-up music.

The PGA Tour highlighted some of the best examples from Saturday:

Meanwhile, the tournament itself is wide open after teams led by Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Sergio Garcia and Jon Rahm were among those to miss the cut Friday.

Those still on the course delivered some terrific shot-making in the third round. Three different teams combined to shoot 11-under rounds.

Golf on CBS provided a look at the updated leaderboard:

The final round will likely be much tougher based on Friday's alternate-shot round, as Justin Ray of Golf Channel explained:

Kisner and Brown, who finished second in the event last year after losing to Jonas Blixt and Cameron Smith, are in perfect position to walk away with the victory this time around.

They have plenty of work left to do Sunday, however, with 17 other teams within five shots of the top spot heading into the final round.
