Report: Tom Brady 'Not Sad' over Brandin Cooks Trade; WR 'Wasn't a Great Fit'
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady reportedly isn't broken up over the Pats' decision to trade wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Los Angeles Rams.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Brady is "not sad" about the move. Rapoport added Cooks wasn't considered a "great fit" in New England.
On Tuesday, the Patriots sent Cooks and a 2018 fourth-round draft pick to the Rams for the No. 23 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft and a sixth-round pick.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value ๐
After spending the first three years of his career with the New Orleans Saints, Cooks was traded to New England last offseason in a deal that netted New Orleans a first-round pick.
Cooks was expected to have a big year in New England with Julian Edelman out due to a torn ACL, and while he was productive, his numbers dropped to 65 receptions for 1,082 yards and seven touchdowns.
In 2015 and 2016, Cooks averaged 81 catches for 1,156 yards and eight touchdowns per season with the Saints.
Edelman will return to his status as the Pats' No. 1 wideout in 2018, while Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett, Kenny Britt, Cordarrelle Patterson and Malcolm Mitchell will serve in supporting roles.
New England also owns the No. 23 and No. 31 overall picks in the 2018 NFL draft.
If the Pats want to replace Cooks with a rookie, Alabama's Calvin Ridley, SMU's Courtland Sutton, Texas A&M's Christian Kirk, LSU's D.J. Chark and Maryland's D.J. Moore are among the top options.
