WWE WrestleMania 2018: 10 Greatest WrestleMania Moments of All Time
No WWE show provides standout moments like The Showcase of the Immortals: WrestleMania.
In its 33-year history, there have been hundreds of moments fans will remember forever, making it difficult to narrow the best down into a list.
From historic title victories to incredible babyface turns, fans have never been short of a moment of magic at WrestleMania.
And ahead of this year's event on April 8, here's a look at the 10 greatest moments in the show's long and rich history.
10. Seth Rollins Provides the Greatest Cash-In (WrestleMania 31)
1 of 10Seth Rollins' WrestleMania 31 began ordinarily enough.
Rollins lost early on in the card to Randy Orton in a fairly uneventful bout, but it was what happened at the end of the show that left fans in shock.
Still in possession of his Money in the Bank briefcase, Rollins stunned the world by making Roman Reigns' bout with Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship a Triple Threat match.
With both men out, Rollins timed his moment to perfection. While Lesnar initially regathered himself to lift Rollins in the air for an F-5, Reigns delivered a spear to take both men out of action again.
And Rollins reacted by pinning Reigns in the middle of the ring and winning the title for the first time.
9. Shawn's Dreams Come True (WrestleMania XII)

Though Mr. WrestleMania would have many more incredible moments at The Showcase of the Immortals, his first historic moment at the show is hard to ignore.
After winning the 1996 Royal Rumble, Michaels earned his shot at the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, where he faced champion Bret Hart.
Fantastic and inspired booking led WWE to pit the two against one another in a 60-minute Iron Man match, a colossal bout that proved to be one of the best matches in 'Mania history.
The two went to war in some style, taking out anyone in their sight in the quest to leave 'Mania as the world champion.
Amazingly, the bout ended up going to overtime, with the two men locked on falls. Michaels took full advantage, pinning Hart and realizing his boyhood dream.
His WrestleMania dreams wouldn't stop there, either.
8. Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit Embrace (WrestleMania XX)

Although the tragic and horrific events that followed this moment led to WWE erasing it from its history, it is hard to forget it.
As two stars who did not fit the stereotypes of major WWE stars, it was difficult not to be emotional and inspired by Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero's victories at WrestleMania XX.
Both left the show as major champions, but after Guerrero had retained the WWE Championship earlier in the evening, the iconic moment arrived when Chris Benoit became a world champion after besting Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
Out came Guerrero to embrace his friend and to celebrate that they were both world champions in the world's biggest professional wrestling corporation.
7. WrestleMania Is Born
4 of 10When Vince McMahon created the WrestleMania concept, few could have predicted what a global phenomenon the show would become.
And ahead of this year's event, it is impossible to leave out the inaugural edition of the pay-per-view when it comes to ranking WrestleMania's greatest moments.
The show was built largely around the celebrity-endorsed main event, which saw Mr. T team up with Hulk Hogan to defeat Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff.
Elsewhere, McMahon drafted in the likes of Liberace and Cyndi Lauper to give the show a big-time feel. There is no doubt it worked to perfection.
But surely not even McMahon could have predicted what a huge part of the wrestling calendar his show would become.
6. Enter the Era of Austin (WrestleMania XIV)
5 of 10
While the events of 12 months earlier proved to be the starting point for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's incredible run to becoming the biggest babyface in WWE, it was at WrestleMania XIV when fans discovered just how much faith the company had in him.
Austin had been on a slow build to becoming a huge star for a year, with his brash, anti-authority attitude winning fans across the world.
By the time the start of 1998 had rolled around, Austin had won the Royal Rumble and earned the traditional title shot at that year's WrestleMania.
His opponent was Shawn Michaels, who, along with Triple H, had aligned himself with celebrity guest enforcer Mike Tyson to add an extra level of excitement to the show.
But in a move that stunned everyone, Tyson double-crossed DX, helping Austin win the match and signal the beginning of the Austin era in WWE.
5. Ric Flair Waves Goodbye to WWE (WrestleMania XXIV)
6 of 10"I'm sorry. I love you."
Few words have meant more in the history of WrestleMania. In an industry wherein what people do, rather than what they say, makes the biggest impact, five words from Shawn Michaels' mouth still resonate as one of the biggest moments in WrestleMania folklore.
When Michaels delivered the famous line just before ending Ric Flair's in-ring WWE career, it was hard not to feel emotional.
The build to the match itself was fantastic, with Michaels pointing out Flair's time had gone and The Nature Boy determined to prove HBK had got it wrong.
Flair delivered a timeless performance, one way beyond someone a man of his age (he was 59 at the time) should have been capable of doing.
But it all came down to one match and one kick to the face, as Michaels ended Flair's in-ring career amid a wave of emotion.
4. The Legendary Double Turn (WrestleMania 13)
7 of 10
WrestleMania has proved to be infamous as a backdrop for era-defining moments, and that was the case when the careers of two huge stars went in different directions for the first time.
Steve Austin entered WrestleMania 13 as a heel—and a great one at that. He had proved to be a nuisance for the supremely popular Bret Hart, leading the two to lock horns at 'Mania in 1997.
What followed during the match was incredible. Fans were treated to a side of Hart they had rarely seen before, with the Canadian displaying a number of characteristics that took everyone by surprise.
He bloodied Austin and beat him mercilessly, leading to The Hitman's heel turn. But Austin's performance was just as captivating and saw him win many admirers because of his never-say-die attitude.
Austin lost after passing out. But fans quickly turned on Hart, warming to Austin in the process.
It signalled the start of Austin's incredible run as a babyface. By the end of it, he was the biggest name in the company. And it all started here.
3. Brock Lesnar Ends the Streak (WrestleMania XXX)
8 of 10There will never be a moment from WrestleMania history that will divide opinion like this.
To this day, there are still some who believe The Undertaker should have retired with an unbeaten streak at WrestleMania.
Even then, when the time came for that to end, the belief is that an up-and-coming star should have been the one to do it, not Brock Lesnar.
Regardless, it's hard to think of another moment that caused such a stunned silence among a WWE crowd.
When Michael Cole uttered "the streak...is over," nobody knew where to turn.
That's what WrestleMania is all about—creating moments you simply wouldn't see anywhere else. And the end of The Undertaker's streak at Brock Lesnar's hands falls into that category.
2. Daniel Bryan Prevails at WrestleMania XXX
9 of 10These days, it is rare to find a story that captivates the imagination of the public as much as Daniel Bryan's road to redemption did at WrestleMania XXX.
Built for months, if not years, the crowning glory of the storyline was the underdog's emergence through two matches on the same show to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
From his apparent heel turn and allegiance with The Wyatt Family to his constant battles against The Authority to being routinely screwed when the championship was within his grasp, it was a well-executed storyline that left fans dreaming of a fairytale ending at 'Mania.
Thankfully, that came true. After beating Triple H to secure his spot in the main event, Bryan beat both Randy Orton and Batista to overcome the odds and win the title.
It was a roller coaster evening for Bryan's fans—but the image of him holding both titles aloft as WrestleMania went off the air is something that will forever stand tall as one of the greatest in the show's history.
1. The Slam That Shocked the World (WrestleMania III)
10 of 10Even now, with WWE approaching the 34th instalment of WrestleMania, one moment from the show's early years still stands out as the greatest.
WWE was riding a wave of momentum by the time of WrestleMania III, with the main event for the WWE Championship featuring the two biggest names in pro wrestling: Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan.
The storyline was written magnificently. Hogan's former ally had turned heel and proved to be a serious threat to The Hulkster.
The match was built around Andre's dominance of Hogan, but the moment that ended the contest secured Hogan's place as perhaps the biggest name in American popular culture at that time.
With one slam—and a leg drop—on Andre stunning the watching world, the arena erupted and Hogan won the WWE Championship.
There has still never been anything like it. It remains at the pinnacle of WrestleMania moments.
