Raiders Rumors: Oakland 'Talking To' Free-Agent Leon Hall
The Oakland Raiders and free-agent cornerback Leon Hall have reportedly been in contact.
On Monday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reported the Raiders are "talking to" Hall about potentially signing him to play in their nickel package.
The 33-year-old University of Michigan product made nine appearances for the San Francisco 49ers last season. He registered 16 combined tackles and one pass defended.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
When he signed with the Niners in October, he told Joe Fann of the team's official website he was still confident in his on-field ability: "I know I can still play. The tape that I put out [in 2016] can attest to that."
Hall spent the 2016 campaign with the New York Giants after playing the first nine years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, who selected him with the 18th overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft.
In all, he's tallied 517 combined tackles, 114 passes defended, 27 interceptions, six forced fumbles and three touchdowns across 142 regular-season games.
Signing Hall would continue the Raiders' trend of picking up aging veterans in free agency. They previously signed 32-year-old wide receiver Jordy Nelson and 29-year-old running back Doug Martin to headline their offseason signings.
The corner would likely slot in behind Rashaan Melvin and Gareon Conley on the depth chart.
