Reggie Wayne to Be Inducted into Colts' Ring of Honor
Longtime Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne will be inducted into the franchise's Ring of Honor at Lucas Oil Stadium during the 2018 NFL season.
The Colts announced the decision Tuesday and passed along comments team owner Jim Irsay made about Wayne's impact on the organization:
"No one is more of a true Colt than Reggie Wayne. He embodies everything about the Horseshoe and is much beloved by Colts fans everywhere. He was also one of the greatest players in NFL history, and chants of 'REG-GIE, REG-GIE' will forever echo through our stadium along with memories of many amazing catches and exciting plays. I could not be more proud and honored to induct Reggie Wayne into the Colts' Ring of Honor."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Indianapolis selected Wayne with the 30th overall pick in the 2001 draft. He spent 14 years with the organization and didn't play another regular-season game for any other teams despite a brief preseason stint with the New England Patriots in 2015.
His resume includes six Pro Bowl selections, a first-team All-Pro nod in 2010 and helping the Colts beat the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.
The 39-year-old New Orleans native ranks second in franchise history in receptions (1,070), receiving yards (14,345) and receiving touchdowns (82). Former teammate Marvin Harrison leads each category.
In November, Wayne hinted he might like to join the Colts' coaching staff:
While it's unclear whether he'll eventually get that opportunity, he'll be in attendance for at least one game next season. The date will be announced once the 2018 schedule is released.
He's set to join a Ring of Honor that already features former teammates Harrison, Peyton Manning, Jeff Saturday and Edgerrin James, along with Bill Polian (general manager) and Tony Dungy (head coach).
