Patriots Score in 1st Quarter of Super Bowl for 1st Time in Tom Brady Era
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have finally gotten their act together in the Super Bowl's first quarter.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"We're trying to score every time we take the field. There's a little caveat to that in my opinion. In 2007, it was our first drive of the game, it just happened to be the first play of the second quarter.
"But it was the first time we touched it. So we did score when we got it first. But I'd love to score 21 points in the first quarter if we can but obviously this defense can make it really tough for us."
The Patriots drove down the field into scoring position on their subsequent drive, but Stephen Gostkowski missed the field goal.
Suffice it to say, this lack of first-quarter scoring hasn't mattered much in the grand scheme of things. The Patriots have won five Super Bowls during the Brady/Belichick era, the most of any quarterback-coach pairing.
The Eagles led 9-3 at the end of the first quarter, bringing their first-quarter deficit to 24-3. We'll have to see if those points play a factor in the final outcome.
