Warriors Parade 2017: Date, Live-Stream Info and Anticipated Player Reactions

Mike ChiariJun 14, 2017

After winning their second NBA championship in three years, the Golden State Warriors are set to celebrate in grand style Thursday with a parade that will take them through the packed streets of Oakland, California.

The Dubs dispatched the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games in the NBA Finals, atoning for a heartbreaking, seven-game loss in last year's Finals.

While some of the players on the team will be celebrating their second championship, many are experiencing it for the first time, including Finals MVP Kevin Durant.

Ahead of what is sure to be a raucous celebration, here is everything you need to know about Golden State's championship celebration.

Where: Downtown Oakland, California

When: Thursday, June 15 beginning at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT

Watch: ESPN nationwide and NBC Bay Area locally

According to ABC7, the parade will begin on Broadway and 11th Street in downtown Oakland, California, before ending on Oak Street.

ABC7 also provided a graphic of the parade route on Twitter:

The celebration two years ago was wild since it marked the franchise's first title since 1975, but things aren't likely to be much more subdued this time around despite Golden State's recent run of success.

That much was made apparent immediately following the Game 5 win, as Durant, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and others partied in memorable fashion.

Durant was at the center of everything since he was named MVP, and he offered a glimpse of what his interactions with the fans may be like Thursday after leaving Oracle Arena on Monday, as seen in this video courtesy of the NBA's official Twitter account:

Another hallmark of the postgame celebration was Durant's mother, who he famously dubbed "the real MVP" after winning the NBA MVP award in 2014.

Upon winning the title, Durant and his mom shared some special moments on the court:

Based on her entertainment value throughout the Finals, Wanda Durant has a chance to steal the show at the parade despite not even being part of the team.

Another thing that can be expected is for plenty of champagne to be flowing, as Curry was doused with it while holding the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy:

In fact, TMZ Sports reported that the Warriors popped 80 bottles of champagne while celebrating the night of their championship victory.

Despite having a few days to let the win sink in, there is reason to believe that Warriors players, coaches and personnel will be beyond excited to share their accomplishment with those who supported them all season long.
