LeBron James Says Warriors' Finals Loss Probably Left 'Bad Taste in Their Mouth'
LeBron James apparently sees some extra fight in the Golden State Warriors so far this series.
Although he said he wants to "win just as bad as they do," he knows there is an extra push that comes from losing the previous season, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com.
"Obviously they probably got a bad taste in their mouth after what happened last year," the Cleveland Cavaliers star said. "And we had one in our mouth last year from what happened the year before."
This attitude could be seen back in October when Draymond Green discussed the need for revenge.
"If Cleveland comes out of the east, I want to destroy Cleveland," he told David Aldridge of Turner Sports.
Despite the Warriors' plans to avenge last year's loss, James is doing all he can to help the Cavaliers win with an average of 40.8 minutes per game in the postseason. Even with the extra work, he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.
"I feel great," he said Wednesday. "I'm averaging a triple-double in the Finals. I'm pretty good, I would think."
James has averaged 28.5 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in the two games, although both have been losses. He will hope to get more support in Game 3 to help bring the Cavaliers back in the series.
