Kevin Durant Questionable for Game 2 vs. Trail Blazers with Calf Injury
The Golden State Warriors have listed Kevin Durant as questionable for Game 2 of their Western Conference playoff series Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Per the Warriors public relations staff on Twitter, Durant is listed as questionable with a strained left calf. Marcus Thompson of the Mercury News noted Durant didn't practice with the team Tuesday.
Larry Beil of KGO-TV reported Durant suffered the injury during Golden State's 121-109 win over Portland in Game 1 on Sunday.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr addressed Durant's status with reporters, per Anthony Slater of the Mercury News:
Durant played 36 minutes in Game 1, leading the Warriors with 32 points on 12-of-20 shooting. He also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Any injury to Durant's leg is cause for concern in Golden State. The eight-time All-Star missed 19 games during the regular season after suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain and tibial bone bruise against the Washington Wizards on February 28.
Durant returned for the Warriors' last three regular-season games, averaging 20.3 points per game against the New Orleans Pelicans, Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers.
