Brandon Ingram Out for Summer League Due to Leg Injury Suffered vs. Clippers
Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram will miss the rest of the NBA Summer League because of cramps in his right leg, according to Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet.
Bresnahan added that Ingram will remain with the team and could possibly practice as well.
The 19-year-old scored 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting Friday in his only summer-league game.

Ingram's long-term health is far more important to the Lakers than these exhibitions, especially since they selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 draft. He was named to the All-Rookie team after his first campaign, in which he averaged 9.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
Ingram hasn't dominated from a statistical perspective, but he is a versatile playmaker who can defend multiple positions and score by attacking the basket or hitting jumpers. He figures to be an integral part of the team's rebuilding process over the next few seasons.
In his absence, Los Angeles can see what it has in other wings like Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart.
The Lakers would prefer it if Ingram were healthy and continuing to develop on the floor, but they will be plenty precautious with the Duke product considering his importance to their plans to compete in the future.
