Europa League 2017: Scores, Odds After Wednesday's Round-of-32 Leg 2 Results
Manchester United are 3-1 favourites to win the 2017 UEFA Europa League after confirming their place in the last 16 on Wednesday. United beat Saint-Etienne 1-0 at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard to complete a 4-0 aggregate win.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan put the Red Devils ahead for good in the second leg, scoring after 25 minutes. United manager Jose Mourinho then saw the strength in depth of his squad tested, as Mkhitaryan went off injured, while defender Eric Bailly was dismissed after picking up two yellow cards.
However, Mourinho's men were able to cope thanks to being able to call on quality substitutes, such as England striker Marcus Rashford.

Recap
A strong United starting XI, featuring big-name summer imports Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, didn't waste much time building on a commanding 3-0 lead from the first leg.
Typically, Mkhitaryan's flair and Spanish ace Juan Mata's vision proved decisive. The latter supplied a quite exquisite pass to put Armenian maestro Mkhitaryan behind the Saint-Etienne defence.
Former Borussia Dortmund star Mkhitaryan finished with aplomb. The finish continued his remarkable recent run in front of goal for the Red Devils, per Squawka Football:
Unfortunately for United, the goalscorer soon had to be withdrawn through injury, a setback the club confirmed on its official Twitter account:
Mkhitaryan going off was just the start of misfortune for United. The second half saw centre-back Eric Bailly sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
As Squawka pointed out, Ivory Coast defender Bailly had erred twice in quick succession:
Meanwhile, Stuart Mathieson of the Manchester Evening News spotted an apparent problem with veteran midfield playmaker Michael Carrick:
Even a depleted United side was too compact and secure for Les Verts to trouble, though.
Already 3-0 ahead from the first leg, Bundesliga side Schalke padded their lead against PAOK in Gelsenkirchen when Alessandro Schopf scored. Sadly, the Austrian attacker's contribution was cancelled out when centre-back Matija Nastasic bundled into his own net.
The most impressive result of the night was unfolding in Istanbul as Krasnodar were going about eliminating Fenerbahce. Russian side Krasnodar went ahead when Fyodor Smolov scored in less than seven minutes.
Crafty forward Smolov has been in prolific form this season, a fact confirmed by the competition's official Twitter feed:
Fenerbahce answered back with a goal from Brazilian schemer Josef de Souza. However, a squad loaded with stars such as former Arsenal centre-forward Robin van Persie couldn't break down their Russian visitors and overcome their 2-1 aggregate deficit.
Krasnodar had engineered an impressive result, but it's United's progress that truly bears watching. Mourinho's squad is being stretched by injuries and a hectic program of fixtures, but it's still deep enough in star names to validate the oddsmakers and win this tournament.
