Patriots QBs Struggling to Stay Healthy in 2016
Despite suffering the injury when he was hit by Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor, Brady has not missed any time.
In fact, the only games Brady has missed due to injury in the last 15 seasons were due to a torn ACL in 2008. This of course doesn't include his four-game suspension stemming from Deflategate that kept him out for the start of this season.
If the 39-year-old is forced to miss time in the future, the Patriots would once again have to turn to Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback, who was 2-0 as a starter at the start of the season.
While there would seemingly be a big drop-off when removing a quarterback who has won four Super Bowls and two MVP awards and has gone to 11 Pro Bowls, New England coach Bill Belichick believes the offense can still run smoothly.
"When we put Jimmy in there, it's really seamless," Belichick said in November, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com. "Unless you were actually looking at the position, and if you just could just block out that position and say, 'Which guy was in there at quarterback?' I don't know if you would know a lot of times."
