WWE Raw: Burning Questions to Address After Nov. 21 Show
The WWE Raw after Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view wasted no time in marching toward new title matches, rivalries and major moments.
Goldberg showed up to make an announcement about his next match. The New Day toppled one set of challengers and watched familiar faces claim the No. 1 contenders' spot soon after. Big Cass found a new place to direct his anger.
Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, meanwhile, hinted at a future where Jeri-KO is no more.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
All of these developments created a slew of unknowns. How will WWE use Goldberg's presence in 2017's first marquee bout? What's the shelf life of the Jericho-Owens partnership? And can anyone stop The New Day from being WWE's longest-reigning tag champs of all time?
Read on for a breakdown of the burning questions Monday's Raw left for fans.
What Impact Will Goldberg Make on the Royal Rumble?
Survivor Series wasn't Goldberg's last dance.
After steamrolling Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Goldberg decided to stick around. The former WCW champ revealed on Monday's Raw that he intends to enter the 30-man Royal Rumble match at the Jan. 29 pay-per-view.
He talked of maybe having one more title run in him.
Would WWE really pull the trigger on Goldberg winning the Rumble? Would the company crown three part-timers in four years in that bout?
That's a possibility the folks at the Mat Men podcast are wondering about:
The more likely scenario is that WWE will use the Royal Rumble to set up the inevitable rematch with Lesnar.
And in a callback to the past, Lesnar may prevent Goldberg from winning the Battle Royal to lead into a WrestleMania match. That's how their rivalry unfolded in 2004.
The match's format will allow WWE to hide Goldberg's limitations. He'll be able to deliver in short bursts and create moments rather than engage in a full match on his own. But to what end?
After the surprising direction WWE took in the Survivor Series main event, there's no guarantee Goldberg will remain focused on Lesnar moving forward.
How Much Longer Will the Jericho-Owens Alliance Last?
Owens leaving The List of Jericho scattered around the ring at Survivor Series didn't break up Jeri-KO. And although the two best friends bickered and barked at each other on Monday's Raw, they ended up embracing.
Jericho and Owens only teased a split on Raw.
United by a common hatred for Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, the two buddies remained a unit. But that won't last forever.
As Chair Shot Reality host Justin LaBar pointed out, Monday's argument offered a peek at how compelling a rivalry between them would be:
There's too good of a friends-turned-foes story to tell here. Owens will turn on Jericho. That's the WWE way.
But how long will the company delay the implosion?
Jericho vs. Owens would make quite the WrestleMania match. That's what WWE should aim for, with the breakup occurring in time to build to that intense showdown.
Is a Big Cass-Rusev Feud Imminent?
Two warriors in need of battles may have found each other on Monday night.
Backstage, Enzo Amore wandered around naked after being locked out of the dressing room. That led to an awkward exchange between him and Lana. Rusev grew angry at seeing his wife interact with a nude Amore and soon clobbered the babyface in the ring.
Big Cass came to the rescue, chasing off The Bulgarian Brute.
Is that how the Cass-Rusev rivalry begins, with penis jokes and a friend's protective instincts? Wrestling Inc saw it coming before the match even started:
WWE doesn't always follow up on stories like this, but neither Superstar has much else on his plate. Rusev has been sans rival after losing to Reigns weeks ago. Cass and Amore's run-ins with The Club were short-lived.
A collision of hosses is now on the horizon. That feud will be a major boost for both men, offering them chances to show off their smashmouth styles and trade one-liners.
Is The New Day a Lock to Break Demolition's Record?
As of this writing, The New Day has held the tag team belts for 456 days, per WWE.com. That's as close as anyone in history has been to Demolition's record 478 days as owners of the now-defunct World Tag Team Championships.
The New Day fended off Cesaro and Sheamus on Monday night in a title bout.
But more challengers await. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson knocked off The Golden Truth to become No. 1 contenders once again. Their title match is set for next week's Raw.
Will The Club fall, as it has done so often in the past? Will Gallows and Anderson prevent The New Day from surpassing Demolition?
It's hard to bet against The New Day at this point. And WWE hasn't shown any consistency with how it presents Gallows and Anderson. One week, they are bumbling stooges; the next, they are destroyers.
Should The Club stumble next week, WWE could also welcome The Revival from NXT to take one last stab at preventing The New Day from being the longest-reigning champs in company history.
