WWE Raw Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from Nov. 7
If you only caught the last two matches on Monday's WWE Raw, you would have felt jealous for the thriller of a show Glasgow, Scotland, got to witness live.
Much of the taped episode didn't thrive as its closing moments did, though. WWE did well to advance storylines and build to matches ahead of the Nov. 20 Survivor Series pay-per-view, but often didn't excite along the way.
Sluggish in-ring action and lengthy promos gave the Scottish fans reason to grow restless.
Monday's Raw revealed every member of Raw's three Survivor Series team. It decided who will challenge SmackDown's Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship. And Noam Dar made his first appearance on the red brand.
On paper, that sounds like a victorious Monday night. Raw certainly had his high points, but the audience had to slog through much of it.
From the Raw commissioner opening the show to the universal champ celebrating at the end, let's dig into the night's success and failures, where WWE increased buzz around the PPV and where it left fans wanting to catch some zzz's.
Stephanie McMahon Introduces Raw's Male Survivor Series Team
1 of 10Stephanie McMahon kicked off the night by announcing general manager Mick Foley couldn't be at the show. She promised to dominate SmackDown at Survivor Series.
The Raw commissioner then introduced the members of Raw's male Superstar Survivor Series team: Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins. Rollins had not been previously confirmed for this spot.
Rollins and Owens argued before McMahon gave a speech to rally the troops. She told them their jobs depended on them winning at the PPV.
After Jeri-KO needled their teammates, Rollins and Reigns beat them down. Strowman leaped into the fray and overwhelmed everybody.
McMahon then booked a five-way match between each of the Raw Superstars.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- "Nothing is finished between you, me and old sparkle crotch here."—Rollins.
- "Just like everyone here in Glasgow tonight, you're our stupid idiots."—Jericho.

Analysis
McMahon laid out some of the more intriguing scenarios possible at Survivor Series. The number of references to The Shield suggests something involving that split faction will be a big part of the PPV bout.
The animosity between these supposed allies will add to the match, as well.
This segment, though, was no great opener. It had so-so electricity and didn't rev up a raring-to-go crowd as much as it could have.
Brian Kendrick and Noam Dar vs. Rich Swann and Sin Cara
2 of 10Noam Dar overwhelmed Rich Swann early. He and Brian Kendrick teamed up on Sin Cara, slowing the bout down and keeping the action on the mat.
Swann infused some high-flying into the contest before rolling up the cruiserweight champ for the win.
Kendrick then called out his partner, calling him a loser. The enraged heel attacked Dar, but ended up on the wrong side of the quick brawl.
Result
Swann and Sin Cara win via pinfall.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- "This is unbelievable! I have goosebumps right now."—Corey Graves on Dar's debut.
- Kendrick pulls down Sin Cara from the top rope to the outside.
- Sin Cara hits Dar with a senton on the outside.
- "I did not lose that match, you did."—Kendrick to Dar.

Analysis
It was a no-brainer to introduce Dar in his home country to maximize the reaction for him. The post-match interaction with Kendrick was a smart move, too. It allowed the audience to gain some pathos for the newcomer in a hurry.
The match itself, however, was underwhelming.
The cruiserweights didn't get enough ring time—a common occurrence of late. And Sin Cara is not matching his peers in electricity. WWE would be better off putting Neville in his spot instead.
Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar Video Package
3 of 10WWE aired a pair of video packages hyping Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg at Survivor Series. It featured a recap of their rivalry, Goldberg's career highlights and a glimpse at Lesnar's MMA career.
The package also showed off new interviews between the two men.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- "I find it very foolish for a man to pick a fight with Brock Lesnar."—Lesnar.
- "The ass-kicking I was going to give him has just been trumped by the ass-kicking I'm going to give him now."—Goldberg.
- "Why in God's name would you issue yourself a death sentence?"—Lesnar.
- "John Cena ran up against the kryptonite of Brock Lesnar."—Paul Heyman.

Analysis
The WWE production team did it again. They made a match some have not been sold on look bigger and better.
Goldberg came off as tough, hungry and ready to prove himself again. Lesnar was his usual indignant, ornery self. The Beast Incarnate sold the bout by promising to issue a savage beatdown.
The Members of the Raw Tag Team Survivor Series Squad Meet in the Ring
4 of 10Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Cesaro and Sheamus and The Golden Truth all met in the ring.
Amore scooted around. Sheamus trashed The New Day and Scotland's national soccer team. The Celtic Warrior named himself captain.
His Survivor Series teammates bickered.
Before Sheamus could leave in a huff, The New Day showed up in full Braveheart gear. The tag champs riled up the crowd.
While the babyfaces got excited about the prospect of beating SmackDown at Survivor Series. The Club promised to stab their Raw teammates in the backs.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- "You should be scared of the sun, the mirror, little kids stealing your Lucky Charms or dying alone."—Amore to Sheamus.
- "If you wanted to really insult me, you should have said I look like the third member of The Club."—Cesaro to Gallows and Anderson.
- "This is Francesca's Scottish cousin Agnus."—Woods on his bagpipes.
- "I thought he sounded more like a pirate."—Kofi Kingston on Big E's "Scottish" accent.

Analysis
The New Day saved a segment that floated around lifelessly before the trio's arrival. Kingston, Woods and Big E brought great energy to a showdown that wasn't nearly as tense as the opener.
Gallows and Anderson aren't the least bit intimidating at this point. Sheamus shouldn't be getting that much mic time.
This both exposed the lack of depth in the tag team division and flashed how spectacular an alliance between The New Day and Amore and Cass will be.
The New Day vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson
5 of 10Big E and Kofi Kingston had fun as they ran over Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. A cheap shot behind the referee's back reversed the course of the match, though.
The heels took turns wailing on Big E.
Kingston charged back, but hit a wall in the form of The Club. Gallows and Anderson hit Magic Killer for the win.
Result
Gallows and Anderson win via pinfall.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
"They're not about the teams; they're about themselves."—Michael Cole on The Club.
Grade
C-
Analysis
Gallows and Anderson have long needed wins like this. They looked dominant and fearsome. Unfortunately, it was in a ho-hum match.
The heels and The New Day lacked chemistry here. It probably didn't help that Kingston and Big E had to wrestle in kilts.
The Golden Truth vs. The Shining Stars
6 of 10Primo and Epico convinced R-Truth to give up his and Goldust's Survivor Series spot by selling them a bogus resort deal. The match was designed to settle things with the winner qualifying for the PPV.
The Shining Stars beat up on R-Truth in the early going.
Goldust charged back. Epico distracted him with a brochure; Primo rolled him up and used the ropes for illegal leverage to score the cheap win.
Result
The Shining Stars win via pinfall.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- Primo and Epico hit simultaneous dropkicks on R-Truth.
Grade
D
Analysis
Increased stakes couldn't keep this from being boring. A slow pace, two teams with little momentum and a goofy ending added up to unsatisfying filler.
R-Truth's backstage silliness was fun, but The Shining Stars are consistently among the least entertaining parts of Raw each week. They won't add much of anything to the Survivor Series bout.
The Unveiling of the Raw Women's Survivor Series Team
7 of 10Michael Cole welcomed Charlotte Flair who wasted no time in calling out SmackDown's women.
Nia Jax, Alicia Fox, Bayley and soon followed. Flair tried to announce Dana Brooke as the fifth member of the team, but Cole revealed Sasha Banks was the one actually on the team.
Banks and Jax stared each other down.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- "You might be the leader, but I don't work for you."—Jax to Flair.
- The Glasgow fans sing "Will You Be My Girl?" for Bayley.
- "I will never forget this!"—Flair to the fans.
Grade
D
Analysis
What began as a passionate reaction for Bayley morphed into obstruction. The fans trampled over the segment, singing and chanting until the segment ran off the tracks.
Charlotte did well to play the heel, growing visibly annoyed by the audience. Bayley didn't handle the situation as well. She struggled to deliver her lines thanks to being thrown off by the crowd.
Dana Brooke, Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair vs. Alicia Fox, Bayley and Sasha Banks
8 of 10
Nia Jax led the way as the heels beat up on Alicia Fox. Sasha Banks soon found herself in a similar position, laid out in the wrong corner.
Charlotte Flair punished The Boss, but was unable to keep her from tagging Bayley in. The hug-happy former NXT champ issued an onslaught that led to her pinning Flair.
Result
Bayley wins via pinfall.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- Banks, Fox and Bayley hit triple dropkicks on Jax to no effect.
- Jax hurls Fox by the hair into the corner.
Grade
C+
Analysis
The announcers planted seeds for the Flair-Bayley rivalry, talking up how jealous the champ is of Bayley's popularity.
Jax starred during the in-ring action. She compelled as a destructive force. WWE needs to let her continue to be just that at Survivor Series.
Bayley pinning Flair moved their burgeoning feud along some.
The match, though, was nothing special. It continued the night's theme of serviceable in-ring action.
Rusev vs. Sami Zayn
9 of 10McMahon told Sami Zayn he would be taking on Rusev for the chance to battle Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series.
After Lana welcomed him to the ring, Rusev beat on Zayn. The Bulgarian Brute left Zayn reeling with thunderous strikes.
Zayn survived Rusev's worst and eventually kicked Rusev off the top rope to score a three-count.
Result
Zayn wins via pinfall.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- "I don't need the support of this pathetic village."—Lana.
- Lana refers to Scotland as "America."
- Zayn dives over the top rope onto Rusev on the outside.
- Zayn hits a Helluva Kick with Rusev perched on the top rope.
Grade
A-
Analysis
Rusev and Zayn woke up a talk-heavy show with the best match of the night up to that point. Zayn is so great as the babyface in peril, and Rusev was again excellent as the sneering heel.
The stakes boosted the match. The two opponents had the kind of chemistry WWE needs to tap into again.
And this win gave Zayn some needed direction. WWE has largely been "twiddling its thumbs" with him. Chasing the Intercontinental Championship will be a fun story and likely garner him some needed momentum.
Fatal Five-Way
10 of 10Owens vs. Jericho vs. Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Strowman
Backstage, Jericho wanted to lay into Strowman, but Owens calmed the situation. The universal champ tried to get the big man on their side, but Strowman showed no interest in alliances.
Once the match began, Reigns and Strowman squared off. The big man won that exchange, but soon found himself talking Kendo stick shots from Rollins at ringside.
Strowman's opponents teamed up to take him down. That left Reigns and Rollins free to stare each other down before working as a team.
The action picked up as the Superstars battled outside the ring, using the ring steps and tables as weapons. In the chaos that followed, Owens took a Superman Punch from Reigns and won by falling on on his friend Jericho.
Result
Owens wins via pinfall.
Memorable Moments and Quotes
- "I'm on Team Braun."—Strowman.
- "They're aren't many men who make The Big Dog look like an insignificant puppy."—Graves on Strowman and Reigns.
- Rollins and Reigns went for a powerbomb through a table a la The Shield, but Jericho stopped them.
- Owens hits a cannonball to Reigns against the security barricade.
- Rollins powerbombs Jericho onto Strowman through a table.
Grade

Analysis
Fans had a variety of elements to enjoy and digest in this wild, fun contest.
Strowman looked like a beast here. WWE is clearly high on him, and he looks ready to be a top-tier monster at this point.
Reigns and Rollins uniting temporarily was an intriguing move. It's hard not to get psyched now thinking ahead about what's next for them. Is a partial reunion of The Shield on the way, or will one of these men turn on each other at Survivor Series?
Questions emerged about Owens and Jericho's relationship, too. Will KO pinning his best friend lead to them breaking up?
All those cliffhangers and subplots made for an excellent match. The wrestlers' chemistry, all the bout's big spots and an engaged crowd led to a rousing climax to a sleepy show.
