WWE SmackDown: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for Nov. 1
The Survivor Series picture will begin to come into focus on Tuesday's WWE SmackDown.
A battle between brands is brewing, as Raw and SmackDown have each started to put together a trio of teams. Team Blue will continue that process, building up its squads ahead of the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Nov. 20.
Dean Ambrose is likely to earn a spot on one of them, unless he is too busy beating James Ellsworth into a wet spot on the canvas. The Lunatic Fringe will be seething after his sidekick upended his chase for AJ Styles' WWE World Championship.

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt may be joining forces even if they are not eventually paired together at Survivor Series. Orton delivered a cliffhanger last week when he implied that he has chosen to align with The Wyatt Family rather than continue to war with the faction.
Social media buzz, the SmackDown preview on WWE.com and storyline analysis help look ahead at what's to come on Tuesday's show. The blue brand will continue its march toward Survivor Series starting at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network.
News, Potential Spoilers
Eva Marie may be back just in time to earn a spot on the female SmackDown Survivor Series team.
She had been off the rod due to a wellness-policy suspension and then left to film the movie Inconceivable. Eva Marie posted on Instagram that filming has wrapped:
The blue brand could also be getting a high-flyer back. Kalisto missed months of action thanks to an injury but is now healthy.
As seen on the Internet Wrestling Database, Kalisto has been wrestling on SmackDown house shows for the past two weeks. His return to TV should soon follow.
And the tag team division could be getting another dose of nostalgia.
Mosh of The Headbangers tweeted that the Attitude Era duo will be back on Tuesday night:
The Headbangers returned to SmackDown in August during the tag team championship tournament. It looks as if WWE will once again be looking for more depth via blasts from the pasts.
SmackDown Streaks
The Hype Bros are suddenly garnering a good supply of momentum.
Last Tuesday, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley knocked off The Ascension to claim a spot on the tag team Survivor Series squad. According to Cagematch.net, The Hype Bros have now won three in a row on SmackDown and are 4-0 in their last four bouts.
The Vaudevillains are headed in the opposite direction.
Simon Gotch and Aiden English have not wrestled on the last three editions of SmackDown, per CageMatch.net. The former NXT tag champs have lost their last six bouts on the blue brand, and their last SmackDown victory came back in May.
Will The Vaudevillains remain the tag team division's forgotten men, or will they make a surprise move onto Team Blue's Survivor Series troop? Recent history says no.
The Road to Survivor Series
On Monday night, Raw general manager Mick Foley start compiling his Survivor Series teams, recruiting Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and others. It's now SmackDown headman Daniel Bryan's turn.
Bryan is set to appear on Miz TV with The Miz where, as the SmackDown preview stated, he "will discuss who will be representing SmackDown Live at Survivor Series."
So far, Nikki Bella, The Hype Bros, Heath Slater and Rhyno are all confirmed for the blue brand's teams for the PPV. Bella beat out Natalya to earn the captain's spot for the women's team last Tuesday.
More qualification matches are likely on the way.
Curt Hawkins could have a shot at making the male Survivor Series team but would have to actually wrestle to do it. The returning Superstar has teased his return match several times over now.
Last time out, he backed out of a contest with Apollo Crews when the babyface knocked him on his back before the bell. Hawkins' official reintroduction has to happen eventually.
Tuesday's SmackDown also promises to showcase a vengeful Ambrose.
Last week, Ellsworth inadvertently cost Ambrose his shot at the WWE World Championship. He was apologetic about his flub, but that may not be enough.
The SmackDown preview hinted that Ambrose will seek retribution: "When one considers the unpredictable nature of The Lunatic Fringe on his best days, Ellsworth could be in some very big trouble."
The night's biggest question awaiting to be answered, though, is whether Orton has joined The Wyatt Family.
The Viper turned heads last Tuesday when he attacked Kane to help set up a Wyatt win. He then told the audience, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
As this narrative continues to unfold, we will get a look at whether Orton is merely teasing a heel turn or if a full-on transformation is underway. This is a story with major potential. WWE must harness its dramatic power and not hurry it along.
It will be mighty fun to watch Orton's shifting allegiance and Wyatt lording over his enemy.
