Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Coleman turned heads with three rushing touchdowns through three quarters against the New Orleans Saints, putting him in a rare group, per ESPN Stats & Info:
Although he wasn't as efficient outside the red zone, the 23-year-old showed he can be effective at the goal line after rarely getting a chance in his rookie campaign. He came into the day with just two rushing touchdowns in his career and eclipsed that total in three quarters.
Meanwhile, Freeman was more than an afterthought with big plays both on the ground and through the air to tally 200-plus yards from scrimmage.
He also got into the end zone with this catch-and-run in the first half, via NFL Network:
Even with Coleman's emergence in Week 3, Freeman can still be the highly effective fantasy player he was throughout most of 2015.
The Saints defense made things easier as one of the weakest units in the NFL. Even with a perfect time share, not all games will go this smoothly for both players, especially with Atlanta's tough upcoming matchups against the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.
However, the Falcons' high-powered offense can feature two start-worthy running backs. Freeman likely remains the better option, but both deserve to be in starting lineups.
