Glen Davis Talks Playing with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Rest of Clippers

Mike ChiariJun 10, 2016

Former Los Angeles Clippers forward Glen Davis was critical of former teammates Chris Paul and Blake Griffin during an appearance on Fox Sports 1's The Herd with Colin Cowherd Thursday.

As seen in this clip from the show, Big Baby discussed the separation present between CP3, Griffin and the rest of the team:

Taylor C. Smith of ClipsNation.com provided quotes from the interview, which featured Davis referencing the high salaries Paul and Griffin make: "Yeah, they're a little different. If you're making more than $12 million, $15 million a year, you're a little different. You're gonna act a little different."

The former LSU standout also honed in on Paul and seemingly suggested that he has a selfish style of play: "He has his way about himself. 'I'm Chris Paul, give me the ball, I'm gonna dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, might pass, if it looks good or I'll shoot.'"

Paul has averaged 9.9 assists per game over the course of his career and has led the NBA in assists per game four times.

Davis spent part of the 2013-14 season and the entire 2014-15 campaign with the Clips, averaging just four points and 2.5 rebounds per contest in 97 games after far more successful stints with the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic.

The 30-year-old did not play in 2015-16, and a return to the Clippers appears unlikely in the wake of his comments.

While the Clippers have been considered one of the league's most talented teams over the past five seasons, they have been unable to get past the Western Conference Semifinals. They lost in the first round this season.

If Davis' feelings resonate throughout the rest of the team, chemistry or lack thereof could be to blame for the franchise's shortcomings.
