Rubio Active vs. Clippers
Saturday, Nov. 12
The Timberwolves' PR team announced Rubio would start Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Rubio Struggling to Shake Injury History
After Rubio missed significant time because of a severely sprained left ankle during the 2014-15 season, he battled soreness in the same ankle toward the end of November 2015. However, he missed only a handful of games before returning to his place as Minnesota's starting point guard.
Over the course of 76 appearances a year ago, Rubio reaffirmed his place as one of the NBA's most unique point guards when he joined Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul as the only players to average at least 10 points, eight assists and two steals per contest.
This season, Rubio is averaging 4.5 points, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 33.3 percent from the field for head coach Tom Thibodeau's up-and-coming club.
