Wall Out vs. Hawks
Wednesday, April 13
Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post revealed that Wall will not play in Washington's regular-season finale against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
Wall Vital to the Wizards' Future Success
Wall played 32 minutes during Washington's 114-109 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on April 3. For the season, Wall is averaging 19.9 points, 10.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the floor.
Wall remains one of the league's most important players, given his wide-ranging role leading the Wizards at both ends of the floor. It's exactly what the Wizards were hoping for when they drafted him first overall in 2010, but he still needs a better supporting cast.
On the injury front, he's generally been durable. He dealt with a bothersome knee during the 2012-13 campaign, but he missed just three contests in the two years that followed. He entered this season with concerns about a wrist injury and also worked through minor issues with his knee and leg.
