Warriors May Open Oracle Arena Early to Let Fans Watch Stephen Curry Warm Up

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has undoubtedly become the NBA's biggest draw, and that may soon lead the Dubs to further accommodate fans who want to see more of the reigning MVP.

According to Ben Cohen of the Wall Street Journal, the Warriors are considering letting spectators into Oracle Arena two hours before game time rather than 90 minutes so fans don't miss any of Curry's pregame warm-up routine.

In addition to that, Warriors senior vice president of business development Brandon Schneider revealed there are potential plans in place to feature Curry on the scoreboard during the shootaround.

The 27-year-old former first-round pick is on pace for one of the greatest seasons in NBA history, as he is averaging 32 points per game and knocking down over five three-pointers per contest at a 45.9 percent clip for the 20-0 Warriors.

His shooting acumen is on full display during his warm-up, and it is something Warriors assistant coach Bruce Fraser believes fans would be wise to experience, per Cohen.

"You see some unbelievable shots in the game, but if you want to see pure shooting at its finest, I'd come and watch him shoot," Fraser said. "I'm not trying to sell it. We don't need more distraction. But the reality is who wouldn't want to come see that at some point in their lives?"

Shooting is only part of Curry's preparation, though, as he also puts on a remarkable ball-handling exhibition, as seen in this video courtesy of the Warriors' YouTube account:

The two-time All-Star is a sight to behold, and it is easy to see why the Warriors are interested in bringing fans in even earlier.

In addition to enhancing their viewing experience, one can only assume the move would drive even more ticket demand (as much as that's possible) and generate more revenue in terms of merchandise and concession sales.

The Warriors have the league's hottest commodity at their disposal, and it seems likely they'll take full advantage of that fact.
