Javorius Allen, Terrance West Post-Week 12 Fantasy Advice
The 4-7 Baltimore Ravens are well out of the playoff hunt after watching Joe Flacco, Terrell Suggs, Steve Smith Sr. and Justin Forsett all suffer season-ending injuries this year.
The widespread attrition has forced fantasy owners to look elsewhere for production as the playoff race heats up.
Running backs Javorius Allen and Terrance West were hot options in a limited waiver pool and tried to make an impact during Monday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈

Allen was limited, finishing with 55 rushing yards on 12 carries and no touchdowns on the ground, but he did save owners with a score through the air, finishing with four receptions for 29 yards.
His rushing figures are alarming, given that Cleveland's defense is the fifth-worst in the league against the run, allowing 138.8 yards per game entering Monday. With matchups against the playoff-contending Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals—all of which rank in the top 13 in run defense—Allen’s ceiling isn’t favorable.
Baltimore had two offensive touchdowns, but both came via backup quarterback Matt Schaub in the red zone. In both instances, Allen carried the ball just once.
He may be a worthy start for those without many options—a realistic notion, given how limited running backs have been throughout the league this year, largely because of injuries.

West wasn’t much better, running for 37 yards on seven carries. If you take away his long run of 16 yards, West averaged just 2.6 yards per carry.
He got roughly one touch for every two that Allen received, proving he’s the clear backup in a limited backfield.
There are other options out there: Matt Jones of the Washington Redskins is available in nearly 40 percent of leagues, Shaun Draughn of the San Francisco 49ers is out there in nearly 65 percent and Tevin Coleman of the Atlanta Falcons—owned in 69.1 percent—may be worth the roll while Devonta Freeman continues to recover from a concussion.
