How Paul's Absence Impacted Clippers
Although the Clippers are more well-rounded this year thanks to several offseason additions, Paul is the irreplaceable driving force behind the team's offensive success. Everything starts with the ball in his hands, and his playmaking ability is unmatched.
The 30-year-old guard has been durable throughout his career. Only once has he played fewer than 60 games in a regular season. That came during the 2009-10 campaign, when he suffered a left knee injury.
Austin Rivers, Pablo Prigioni, J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford all saw an uptick in playing time and shared the ball-handling responsibilities.
Of course, the bottom line is that the Clippers' high-powered Lob City offense isn't the same without Paul running the show.
