"He doesn't need to prove anything to anybody," Jorge Mendes told the BBC (via Ben Burrows of the Daily Mirror). "He knows what to do. Many people are saying these things but there is no chance [he will leave]. He will solve the problem. He is the best," Mendes added.
There are mixed reports regarding how much longer Mourinho has to turn things around at Stamford Bridge. Andy Burton of Sky Sports reported on Nov. 1 there is no immediate plan to remove the Chelsea boss, but Neil Ashton of the Mail on Sunday claimed "the club have made it known his job is under threat."
Should Mourinho get the chop, he will only be entitled to "one year’s salary" worth £9.5 million, according to Simon Mullock of the Daily Mirror.

Chelsea Boss in Turmoil at Stamford Bridge
Neil McLeman of the Daily Mirror reported prior to Chelsea's Oct. 31 defeat to Liverpool that Mourinho could be sacked if the Blues lost. That prediction did not come to fruition, but the seriousness of the Portuguese's plight is clear.
Mourinho made "foul-mouthed" remarks to referee Jonathan Moss at half-time of the Blues' recent 2-1 loss to West Ham, according to the Daily Mail's Sami Mokbel. The incident got him ejected from the dugout, and the FA hit the Chelsea boss with a misconduct charge.
The champions are languishing in the bottom half of the table and already face a huge fight just to make the top four, let alone defend their crown.
One can't blame Mourinho's representatives for organising a contingency plan, because it appears the writing is on the wall unless the 52-year-old can spark a remarkable turnaround quickly.
