WWE Survivor Series 2015: Full Card Predictions After Hell in a Cell
Much of WWE Hell in a Cell's success came in creating intrigue and foreshadowing what's ahead for Survivor Series 2015 and beyond.
Feuds ended, leaving warriors free to purse new combatants. Champions conquered challengers to move on to new battles.
Hell in a Cell made it clear that Roman Reigns is charging toward championship gold. Bray Wyatt made it clear that he and the hounds that follow his lead will have vital roles at Survivor Series, which WWE is billing as a celebration of The Undertaker.
Survivor Series is poised to house a crowded Divas title picture, a newcomer from NXT and the elimination tag team matches for which the event is famous. Picking apart the hints WWE has laid out and projecting what's next will provide a strong picture of what the pay-per-view's card will look like come Nov. 22.
Team Cesaro vs. Team Stardust
1 of 6Cesaro, Neville, Ryback, Goldust, Mark Henry vs. The Ascension, Stardust, King Barrett, Sheamus
Stardust and The Ascension have kept a watchful eye on Cesaro. The bizarre trio has made sure to find a seat nearby at his matches, mocking him with a "Stardust section" sign and seemingly preparing to pounce on him.
As the story develops, it provides WWE with an easy way to cram a number of wrestlers into a single match with little effort from a narrative standpoint.
Cesaro and Neville have been taking on Barrett and Sheamus in a series of six-man tag matches. There is only a vague sense of what these men are fighting about, but it's bad blood that is sure to continue until WWE has a better plan for The King of Swing and Mr. Money in the Bank.
Combining Barrett and Sheamus with The Cosmic Wasteland makes perfect sense, as they have a common set of enemies.
To fill out the babyface team, look for WWE to grab Henry off the bench and give Ryback something to do while Kevin Owens looks for another challenge.
Goldust has been out of action for months with a shoulder injury. He tweeted back in May that he would be out two-to-four months, but November would mark six months away from the ring.
His contentious relationship with Stardust makes him a no-brainer addition to Cesaro's squad.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Tyler Breeze
2 of 6Tyler Breeze's first act upon debuting was to buddy up with Summer Rae before bashing Dolph Ziggler with his selfie stick.
With The Showoff's story opposite Rusev petering out, it's clear now that he's instead in an angle with Breeze. That allows Prince Pretty to make quite the introduction by facing Ziggler at Survivor Series.
One might expect Ziggler to team up with Cesaro, but this rivalry looks to be pulling him away from that group of babyface midcarders. He's sure to instead collide with Breeze, offering him an entry point to the main roster and likely a standout match to kick off his career.
Kevin Owens vs. Daniel Bryan (Intercontinental Championship)
3 of 6This is the biggest long shot on this projected card. WWE has not cleared Daniel Bryan to wrestle after suffering a concussion in April, but one has to imagine that the company has to make a move at some point.
It can't just continue to let him sit on the sidelines out of concern about an injury, seeing that an Arizona doctor has cleared him for in-ring competition, as Bryan told Sports Illustrated's Maggie Gray.
Kevin Owens has now twice handled Ryback. Their match at Hell in a Cell was the biggest disappointment of the night, with the two men not showing good chemistry at all.
Count on The Big Guy getting one more crack at the gold on Raw soon, but for WWE to have the champ move on. The feud has had little juice. Owens will be better off moving forward with a new foe, and no potential challenger would get fans psyched like a returning Bryan.
The Wyatt Family vs. Team Undertaker
4 of 6Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman vs. Undertaker, Kane, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton
The Wyatt Family made an enemy of Undertaker by closing in on him as Hell in a Cell ended, beating down the big man and carrying him away.
There's now a chance to give Wyatt some needed momentum by having him work with Undertaker, building on what they began at WrestleMania. And having Undertaker work a tag team match rather than another singles bout would be smart booking. It would save him physically while still using his star power to promote Survivor Series.
It's obvious who will follow Wyatt into battle. He has a posse built for a Survivor Series elimination match. As for The Deadman, he can recruit two men who have been tangling with The Wyatt Family of late in Ambrose and Orton.
With Kane now out of a job as Director of Operations, he can join the fray as well. WWE has already reunited The Brothers of Destruction to battle the Wyatt clan during a recent tour of Mexico, as noted by Wrestle Zone.
Orton is the wild card, though, thanks to a lingering shoulder injury. Survivor Series, though, is still four weeks away, giving The Viper some time to get right.
Paige vs. Charlotte vs. Nikki Bella vs. Sasha Banks (Divas Championship)
5 of 6Charlotte's chances of retaining the Divas Championship are about to shrink. The title picture promises to be a crowded one in time for Survivor Series.
Paige has tried to get back into the champ's good graces, but her recent outbursts hint at a full-blown heel turn. She is suspected of attacking Natalya backstage and has made it clear that she's jealous of Charlotte.
That all clears a path to a clash with Charlotte.
WWE, though, has to be hearing all the "We want Sasha!" chants. Sasha Banks is too popular not to push, something the company has done in a subtle way so far.
Banks has been picking up wins at a strong rate and is looking like the best contender from Team B.A.D. Count on her forcing her way into the title match.
And Nikki may not be done trying to reclaim her title. WWE has shown that it adores the Bella sisters' being in the spotlight. The company hasn't committed to switching its focus to women like Banks yet, so don't be surprised to see Nikki stick around the No. 1 contender's spot en route to Survivor Series.
Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
6 of 6Seth Rollins did away with Kane at Hell in a Cell. Roman Reigns finally felled Bray Wyatt that same night.
Those narratives both look to be over. That leaves Reigns in need of a new goal and Rollins in need of a new challenger.
There is a wealth of history to cull for a feud here, and Reigns hasn't had a sufficient chance to take on Rollins by his lonesome. Considering how Reigns has been booked recently, Sunday night included, it's clear that WWE is positioning him to be the next John Cena.
If that's the case, The Big Dog's going up against Rollins with a chance at the WWE title is a near-certainty.
After two straight challengers who are at the tail end of their careers, it will be a welcome change for him to have someone young and explosive to bang heads with in there. And WWE is more apt to go this route after Rollins' feuds with Kane and Sting saw Raw's ratings dip.
