Analysing Potential for Seth Rollins to Turn Babyface at WWE Hell in a Cell 2015
It would not be an exaggeration to say that the booking of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins over the past couple of months has been a disappointment.
The champion hasn’t looked anywhere near as strong as in recent months, owing to some losses he shouldn’t have suffered and just a general lack of momentum.
So ahead of this weekend’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, is it possible that WWE has a surprise up its sleeve regarding the champion? Is it possible he could be set for a shock babyface turn? Let’s examine the circumstances that suggest there could be a big twist in store.

A Lack of Babyface Opponents
The biggest indicator that Seth Rollins is running out of babyface challengers is the fact he's facing Kane this weekend. Sure, Kane's longevity and commitment in WWE deserves rewarding, but the feud itself just doesn't seem to fit.
Rollins' previous challengers have included big names like John Cena and Brock Lesnar, guys who are certainly befitting of world-title rivalries.
This one doesn't really have too much of a world title feel to it, and if we're assuming this feud doesn't have much in terms of longevity, where does Rollins turn next?
Is Roman Reigns ready for the step up to the world-title scene? Would WWE take a punt on a midcard star and throw them into the picture? It's unlikely, it has to be said.
So that increases the possibility that WWE will flip the tables and turn Rollins at the weekend. If he turns face, he suddenly has a lot more opponents he can feud with, even if it means him dropping the title in the short term.
Tensions in The Authority
For a while now, relations between Seth Rollins and The Authority have been far from ideal.
The last few months have seen Triple H hint that he wants to test his champion when it really matters, like throwing him in at the deep end against Brock Lesnar.
And with both men involved in The Authority in this weekend's match, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have an important decision to make. Do they back their corporate man, or do they back their champion?
Rollins' poor form in the ring doesn't look great booking on the face of it, but could it be part of a wider storyline to set up a babyface turn at Hell in a Cell?
Here's a potential scenario: Worried about their face of The Authority not picking up results and often being on the wrong end of beatings, Triple H decides it's time for a change.
They opt to back Kane as their new man and interfere in the end of the bout to cost Seth the title, naturally turning him face in the process.
From then on, Rollins could feud with either Triple H or even Kane for the title in a rematch. However, there is another feud, which increases the possibility of Rollins turning babyface.
The Sheamus Factor
Let's say WWE are making Rollins look weak because the plan is for The Authority to turn on him. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be Kane who wins the title at Hell in a Cell if there is a turn.
What about Sheamus coming down and cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase? It's not impossible that a scenario like SummerSlam a few years ago could repeat itself. Triple H comes down to celebrate with Rollins after he puts Kane away, but he causes a major shock when he drops Rollins in the middle of the ring.
There, he calls for someone from the back, and Sheamus' music hits. The Irishman struts his way down with his briefcase and cashes in, becoming the new world titleholder and the new face of The Authority.
That at least puts someone a bit more realistic as The Authority's No. 1 guy, rather than Kane, and sets up Sheamus for a big run with the world title.
There's always the option there, and until it happens, Sheamus cashing in will be mentioned at every pay-per-view. A Rollins face turn after being screwed by The Authority could be possible, and if it does happen, it would mark a striking ending to Hell in a Cell.
