Jarvis Landry Fined for Using Abusive Language Toward Official
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry has been fined $23,152 by the league for unsportsmanlike conduct, according to NFL.com.
Landry allegedly directed abusive language toward a game official during the fourth quarter of the Dolphins’ loss to the New York Jets on Sunday. The official flagged Landry for unsportsmanlike conduct when Landry was arguing that Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis interfered with him in the end zone, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
This is the first such fine for Landry, per the Sun-Sentinel, who has been one of the few productive cogs in a lackluster Dolphins offense.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Miami ranks 25th in total offense (314.8 yards per game) and 30th in scoring (16.3 points per game). Landry has hauled in 28 catches for 270 yards in addition to his role as a return specialist, in which he scored the game-winning touchdown against the Washington Redskins in Week 1 on a 69-yard punt return.
The Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman noted how important Landry has been to the Dolphins in 2015:
Landry's fine is the latest headache in a trying week for Miami.
The Dolphins fired head coach Joe Philbin on Monday following a 1-3 start to the season. Later that day, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post claimed Philbin told practice-squad players to "take it easy" on quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Both came on the heels of an embarrassing 27-14 Week 4 loss to the Jets in London.
The Dolphins are off this week and will return to action October 18 against the Tennessee Titans.
