Presidents Cup 2015 Schedule: Tee Times, Pairings and Predictions for Saturday
Team USA seemed poised to cruise to its sixth consecutive Presidents Cup triumph after a strong first day, but the outlook is much different with Day 3 looming as the International team cut into the Americans' lead.
The United States held a 4-1 advantage ahead of Day 2; however, the Internationals managed to win three matches and halve another out of the five four-ball contests that were played. That means Team USA now holds a 5.5-4.5 lead, which is certainly tenuous as eight total matches are on tap for Day 3.
Four foursomes and four four-ball matchups will be staged Saturday at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon, South Korea. The International team has a golden opportunity to erase its deficit, but USA could just as easily open things back up.
Prior to Day 3's action, here is a look at the schedule and announced pairings, as well as predictions for who will come out on top.

Breaking Down Top Matches
Patrick Reed and Rickie Fowler vs. Louis Oosthuizen and Branden Grace

International captain Nick Price hopes to set the tone on Day 3 as he will send his best pairing out first in the form of South Africans Louis Oosthuizen and Branden Grace.
Oosthuizen and Grace will face the newly formed duo of Patrick Reed and Rickie Fowler, and it certainly seems as though the International team should have a significant advantage.
The team of Oosthuizen and Grace is 2-0 thus far, including a convincing 4-and-3 thrashing of Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson on Day 2. That win gave the International team a great deal of momentum and allowed it to mount a strong comeback.
After the match, Oosthuizen and Grace were quite happy about their performance, as seen in this video courtesy of PGATour.com:
Oosthuizen and Grace have an obvious synergy since they're so familiar with each other, and that has manifested itself through two days of competition.
They have played so well, in fact, that the host of SiriusXM's Inside the Ropes and former PGA Tour player Carl Paulson can see them running the table:
It is difficult to predict how Fowler and Reed will perform as a team, but they are a combined 1-2 with other partners thus far, so they certainly aren't playing at the same level of their opponents.
Because of how comfortable Oosthuizen and Grace are as a unit, look for them to prevail and tie up the Presidents Cup score, even if it's only for a short period of time.
Bubba Watson and J.B. Holmes vs. Adam Scott and Marc Leishman

There was plenty of intrigue surrounding the pairing of Bubba Watson and J.B. Holmes entering the Presidents Cup due to their pure power, and they haven't disappointed as they have been Team USA's best pairing with a record of 2-0.
Watson and Holmes picked up the United States' only victory of Day 2 as they outlasted Marc Leishman and Steven Bowditch. Leishman will get another shot at them on Day 3, but his partner will be former Masters winner Adam Scott this time around.
Scott is 0-1-1 thus far, and although he and Jason Day halved with Phil Mickelson and Zach Johnson in four-ball, it could have been a loss if not for Day's stellar play.
As Shane Bacon of Fox Sports pointed out, Scott has been especially poor on the greens:
That can't be said for Watson and Holmes, who have managed to supplement their big-time play off the tee with a surprisingly good short game as well.
Oosthuizen and Grace is the only team playing as consistently as Watson and Holmes right now, but perhaps that shouldn't come as a surprise considering how much success Holmes has had at the Presidents Cup over the years, according to Kent Taylor of WAVE-TV:
Jay Haas is leaning on Watson and Holmes at this point, and while the momentum is currently on the International team's side, he believes his heavy hitters can help stem the tide.
Watson and Holmes prevented things from getting even uglier than they already were on Day 2, and they'll rise to the occasion once again on Day 3.
Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth vs. Jason Day and Charl Schwartzel

Team USA's dream team of Johnson and Spieth looked bulletproof after beating Danny Lee and Marc Leishman decisively on Day 1, but things changed on Day 2 when they ran into the buzz saw that is the international pairing of Oosthuizen and Grace.
Such a big loss might cause some captains to consider a change, but Haas is content to go back to Johnson and Spieth due to his belief that they will turn things around on Day 3, according to Rex Hoggard of GolfChannel.com.
"You know, Jordan said, 'Look, Dustin and I usually make five birdies a round and we made two.' So they are due, I guess you would say," Haas said. "They certainly don't feel like they have lost anything. They haven't lost their games or whatever. I feel confident that they will play well in the morning."
Getting back into form won't be easy, though, as DJ and Spieth will have to contend with the strong pairing of Jason Day and Charl Schwartzel, both of whom are former major winners.
The prospect of Spieth and Day going at it is particularly intriguing since Spieth won two majors, the FedEx Cup and the PGA Player of the Year Award, while Day won the PGA Championship and was in contention in essentially every big tournament.
With that said, it wouldn't be wise to sleep on Schwartzel, who is 1-0 and sealed the match for his team on Day 2 with this putt, courtesy of PGA Tour on Twitter:
Both Spieth and Day have enjoyed such a remarkable 2015 that they could easily cancel each other out, which would leave things up to Johnson and Schwartzel.
This promises to be the most exciting and perhaps the closest match of Day 3, but based on the fact that Johnson and Spieth are likely motivated to bounce back, they'll find a way to do so and nab a point for their team.
