Recap

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND - AUGUST 28: Gary Anderson of Scotland in action during the Auckland Darts Masters at The Trusts Arena on August 28, 2015 in Auckland, New Zealand. (Photo by Fiona Goodall/Getty Images)

Anderson and White played arguably the match of the tournament so far with some staggeringly high-scoring in the final last-16 clash.

The world champion was slightly off his game in the opening set, and White showed immense composure and consistency to edge ahead.

However, the Scot inevitably came storming back as he found his range on the doubles to level at one set apiece.

The quality just got better and better from both players as the 180s flowed in the third set, which was won 3-2 by White as he took out a 58 finish in the final leg.

Anderson lost it slightly towards the end of the fourth set to hand White the match, but both players had put on quite an extraordinary display, per Sky Sports Darts:

Van Der Voort started as he meant to go on by taking the first leg of his match after Jenkins missed three doubles.

The Dutchman scored heavily with checkouts of 122, 141 and 149 in the match as he took the opening two sets.

He had a chance to seal the match at 2-1 in the third, but he missed a double six and Jenkins looked to engineer a comeback with a magnificent 101 finish.

However, fan-favourite Van Der Voort kept his cool to see out the third set 3-2 and claim a vital victory, per PDC Darts:

Suljovic was impressive in his defeat of Whitlock. He produced a brilliant 98 finish in the fourth leg of the match to claim the first set and he took the momentum from there.

The Austrian came from a leg down in the second set to snatch a 2-0 lead when Whitlock was edging towards parity.

A 112 checkout in the first leg of the third set from Suljovic effectively ended the match, and he sealed his place in the last eight, per PDC Darts:

Thornton was similarly efficient in the first match of the night as he cruised past Pipe with a 3-0 victory.

Things started badly for the Scotsman as he missed five darts to win the opening leg, but a 97 checkout in the fifth leg handed him the first set.

From there, Thornton lost only one more leg to see out the match with ease and move through to the quarter-finals.
