Donald Brown to Chargers: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction
Donald Brown didn't stay unemployed for long. Only a few days after letting the veteran running back go, the San Diego Chargers announced Monday they signed Brown once again.
In order to make room for him on the roster, the Chargers also released offensive lineman Michael Ola, whom they originally promoted from the practice squad to correspond with Brown's release last Saturday.
Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune questioned whether Brown's roster spot could be better used on a different position:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 28-year-old former first-round draft pick has yet to take the field for San Diego in the regular season after rushing for 223 yards on 85 carries in 2014. Pro Football Focus graded him the 46th-best running back in the league out of the 57 listed.
Considering both Melvin Gordon and Danny Woodhead are still healthy, you wonder if Brown will have a role in the Chargers offense upon his return. He had a disappointing first season in San Diego, and giving him carries instead of Gordon makes little sense even with the rookie averaging 4.1 yards a carry so far this year.
In the event injury forces the Chargers to make another move on the offensive line or a different part of the field, Brown might be the first guy out again. He's little more than cover for Gordon and Woodhead.
