Arsene Wenger Talks David Ospina, Petr Cech, More in Arsenal vs. United Presser
It's a case of no rest for the wicked as Arsenal attempt to bounce back from a humiliating 3-2 defeat at the hands of Olympiakos with the visit of Premier League leaders Manchester United this Sunday.
Tuesday's defeat was attributed by many to a goalkeeping howler from reserve stopper David Ospina, but when speaking to the media on Friday, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger was quick to deflect that criticism, per ESPN's Miguel Delaney:
"Wenger: "If you question Ospina, I question your knowledge of football."

It seems more than likely that No. 1 Petr Cech will be back in the lineup for Sunday's crunch encounter, but Wenger added he has his pick of "two world-class goalkeepers." Audioboom provided full coverage of the broadcast interview.
There was only so much the Arsenal chief could tolerate in that line of questioning, and he threatened to stop the press conference if the Ospina questions persisted, per the Mirror's Jack Lang.
The north Londoners are currently fourth in the Premier League and three points behind United. A win could potentially propel them to the top of the standings pending other results.
Despite suffering a blow to morale after Tuesday's defeat, Wenger went on to say that none of the critics had picked out any faults of worth in his team, according to James Olley of the London Evening Standard:
Nonetheless, the Frenchman is under pressure to deliver a result at the Emirates Stadium, lest the Gunners find themselves at serious risk of tumbling back outside the top four.
They'll have to do so without the talents of Laurent Koscielny, too, after the France international came off against Olympiakos with a hamstring injury, with Wenger confirming his centre-back would be out for three weeks.

Options in central midfield are also in short supply after Wenger revealed Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini are out, but Francis Coquelin "should be OK" to take on United this weekend.
For some, Arsenal's slipping appears to be a direct result of a slow summer transfer window, and Wenger confessed his side were never in for French starlet Anthony Martial, who moved to Manchester United in a £36 million deal, per Lang:
"Martial was one of the players Monaco didn’t want to sell, so we never made any approach. United offered special money. It comes from their own resources. They have the right to do it."
Wenger went on to say he had information in regards to Morgan Schneiderlin, who also joined United this summer from Southampton, but he was "not in position" to discuss it.

Both of those former Arsenal targets will finally make their way to the Emirates on Sunday, but they could have quite the opposite impact Gunners fans would have been hoping for.
United claimed a 2-1 victory in north London when they travelled to face Arsenal in November 2014, but the necessity to claim a result against the odds is no new burden for Wenger, who is under the microscope once again.
