Arsene Wenger Reportedly Holds 'Fiery' Inquest Ahead of Arsenal vs. Man United
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly slammed his players at a training-ground inquest following their embarrassing 3-2 defeat to Olympiakos on Tuesday, which left their Champions League hopes hanging by a thread.
Ahead of a vital Premier League game against table-topping Manchester United on Sunday, the Frenchman told his team they need to improve dramatically, at a meeting at their London Colney training centre.
Per Neil Ashton in the Daily Mail, the usually calm Wenger accused his Arsenal side "of lacking passion and desire during a fiery training ground inquest" and left them in no doubt they need to raise their game and improve their attitude.

The defeat to Olympiakos was their second defeat in as many group games and leaves the Gunners with no points ahead of back-to-back matches against German giants Bayern Munich.
Sunday's clash against the Red Devils gives Arsenal an opportunity to move level on points with United if they win, but a defeat would see them fall significantly off the pace in the Premier League.
Wenger is quite right to have severely reprimanded his team given that their performance against the Greek side was strewn with errors.
Goalkeeper David Ospina dropped a routine catch over his own line to hand Olympiakos their second goal, and Wenger came under huge criticism for having brought in the Colombian to replace No. 1 Petr Cech, per BBC Sport's Phil McNulty:
However, perhaps more worrying ahead of the United game—as Cech will undoubtedly come back into the first team—was the shambolic defending from Arsenal in conceding the third goal moments after Alexis Sanchez had found an equaliser.
If Arsenal are not organised at the back when they host Louis van Gaal's team at the Emirates on Sunday, the likes of Anthony Martial, Memphis Depay, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata will have a field day.
Per the Mail on Sunday's Oliver Holt, the weekend's match could be a pivotal moment in Arsenal's season:
The pressure on Arsenal and Wenger is huge, as fan unrest would likely skyrocket if the Gunners' Premier League and Champions League hopes both took a severe hit inside the same week.
Wenger will hope his training-ground criticisms have galvanised his team. Attitudes needed to change, and the Frenchman has shown he won't tolerate a repeat.
