WWE Stars Ready For Massive Push 🤩
The ongoing story involving WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and The Bloodline reportedly won't come to an end anytime soon.
According to a report from False Finish, "The current Bloodline story is expected to extend past WrestleMania 43" in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Reigns and The Usos have added Jacob Fatu to the fold, but Solo Sikoa continues to rebel against his family members. It sounds like more layers will be added to the story by introducing a new character.
F4WOnline's Dave Meltzer reported that Zilla Fatu is "expected to start soon" in WWE (h/t Cain A. Knight of Cageside Seats). Fatu, who is the son of the late Umaga, is expected to start in NXT before joining The Bloodline story.
It's been five years since The Bloodline originally formed in July 2021. Since then, the stable has remained at the forefront of WWE's programming, for better or for worse. The story has produced some of the most memorable moments of the modern era, but some fans have been hoping to see it reach its conclusion.
For now, it sounds like there are many more chapters in store for Reigns and The Bloodline as WWE builds to WrestleMania 43 next year.
Sami Zayn's SummerSlam Role Reportedly in Question
Despite winning the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Night of Champions premium live event last week, Sami Zayn could be left out when SummerSlam arrives.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Zayn was not listed for a key SummerSlam match on the original card (h/t Knight).
Instead, one of the marquee matches on the original lineup was Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship. Rhodes will challenge Zayn for the title on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, leaving the door open for WWE's original plan.
Meltzer noted that if Zayn's title reign ends in less than 10 days, it means WWE only let him win the championship in Saudi Arabia to give him a "you deserve it" moment.
Zayn undoubtedly deserves more than to be left out in the cold during a Big 4 PLE, but it sounds like WWE could be committed to having Rhodes and Punk face off for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
El Hijo del Vikingo Injury Update
El Hijo del Vikingo had an exciting match against AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix on Friday's episode of SmackDown, but it came with a cost.
According to a report from PWInsider (h/t Knight), Vikingo suffered a knee injury, and WWE sources said they are "awaiting MRI results to learn the severity of the issue."
Vikingo was unsuccessful in his title challenge against Fenix, but he had a showcase performance that left fans in awe. The luchador is one of the best high-flyers in the game, and he and Fenix have incredible chemistry in the ring.
Vikingo had previously dealt with a serious knee injury in 2024, which forced him to vacate his AAA Mega Championship after a record 833 days.
WWE will certainly be hoping Vikingo won't be on the shelf for too long, as he is one of the most exciting young performers in the business.
