Brazilian legend can't hold back the emotion after playing possibly his last World Cup game.
Erl really did it to 'em.

Norway has officially arrived on the world stage. Led by their superstar forward, they have beaten one of the sport's true heavyweights to advance to the quarterfinals. The win is well-deserved after dominating possession for most of the match. They defended resolutely. The midfield kept the ball moving progressively. With a tremendous performance by goalkeeper Orjan Nyland, it was a total team effort capped off by a header from their leader, who has scored in all four games he has played.
Brazil did play noticeably better to start the second half. That led to a major chance in the 59th minute, where Vinicus Junior played an exceptional ball with the outside of his right boot to Endrick in exquisite fashion. All the stars were aligning for the electrifying playmaker to make an immediate impact off the bench after replacing Matheus Cunha. Endrick couldn't get his feet settled after a poor touch to finish off Vinicius' brilliance.
Brazil ramped up the pressure with Rayan's low shot, forcing Nyland into a good save. Despite his costly miss, Endrick's introduction to the game turned the tide in Brazil's favor for some time. Norway would eventually bounce back with Erling Haaland nearly getting on the end of a tremendous ball from Kristoffer Ajer, who used the outside of his right boot to create a near highlight-reel goal.
Haaland would eventually get his inevitable goal. Substitute Andreas Schjelderup blazed past Endrick to put in a terrific cross for Norway's all-time leading goal scorer to pounce on. Beating his archrival Gabriel to the ball by cutting inside, Haaland scored a thunderous header to put the Vikings ahead. He would secure the win with a powerful low shot just outside the box into the bottom-right corner. It was another emphatic goal to earn Norway its greatest victory ever.
Brazil would get a consolation goal from Neymar off a penalty kick after a careless elbow from Leo Ostigard. It would mean little in the end, in what is the sixth consecutive tournament in which Brazil has been eliminated by a European country. Norway will move on to face the winner of the Mexico vs. England match.
He's only gone and done it again...
Beats Gabriel and Brazil trails with less than 10 minutes to go.
Brazilian legend on to try and get the winning goal.
In through on goal and he toe-pokes it wide

t's been an eventful first half in one of the most fascinating round of 16 matchups. While Norway has dominated possession, Brazil has looked far more dangerous going forward with their array of talent. The Selecao nearly fell behind early in what would have been an astonishing start.
Norway nearly scored in the third minute with Alexander Sorloth using his massive frame on the right flank to create space to assist Patrick Berg on the cutback. What appeared to be a stunning goal was ruled out because Sorloth made his run too early. Despite the goal not counting, Norway made their attacking intent clear. It would only take ten minutes for the next game-altering moment.
Bruno Guimaraes and Gabriel Martinelli combined for a swift move to find Matheus Cunha on the left. As the ball arrived, Kristoffer Ajer was caught a step behind and brought down the Manchester United star in the box. Most anticipated Vinicius Junior to take the penalty, but Guimaraes stepped up. It was a curious decision by Carlo Ancelotti that ultimately backfired. Goalkeeper Orjan Nyland read Guimaraes perfectly to make a massive save. Both teams have produced decent chances, but neither has established real control. Brazil came closest to breaking the deadlock, with Vinicius Junior winning back possession in a dangerous area. His shot was sharply saved by Nyland to keep the game scoreless at halftime.
