A lot of factors are lining up in favor of Mexico, but that won't mean a thing if it can't complete the job on the field.

Mexico Banking on Home-Field Advantage Again

Mexico benefited the most from home-field advantage of the three co-hosts.

The Estadio Azteca is one of the most intimidating stadiums to play in across the world. Mexico's used that to its advantage.

El Tri used a thunderous start in Mexico City to put Ecuador on the back foot in the round of 32. They were up two goals by the 31st minute and Ecuador had no answer to get back into the game.

Mexico would love to follow a similar blueprint on Sunday to put England under serious pressure.

The reality is that Mexico will likely have to have its home crowd rally behind it in certain instances throughout the game to provide an extra push in what is expected to be a tight contest.

Mexico hasn't conceded in the tournament, so it must keep the same defensive structure to frustrate Harry Kane and Co.

The Raul Jimenez-Julian Quinones attacking duo has been great as well. If one of them can take advantage of a chance or two, it could ignite the Azteca.

This is Mexico's best chance to reach the World Cup quarterfinals. A win would be a great send off for the Azteca at this tournament. A potential quarterfinal for Mexico would be played in Miami.

England Must Learn From Struggles Against DR Congo

England almost didn't make it to this point.

DR Congo had a one-goal advantage for an extended stretch in the round of 32 before Harry Kane struck for two goals in the final 15 minutes.

DR Congo had an incredible defensive approach that frustrated England's attackers and kept Kane out of the contest for long stretches.

Mexico has a better and more talented defense than what England saw in the round of 32.

Additionally, the El Tri defense will be bolstered by the atmosphere inside the Azteca.

England needs to find a way to break down Mexico's defense in the first 60 minutes. Look for Jude Bellingham to be more active in the tight spaces in between the defensive blocks.

England can't create all of its chances through the wing, so Bellingham and Elliott Anderson have to be more effective in the center to either distribute passes in a quick manner, or to take advantage of the spaces and shoot.

Kane is the best scorer in the matchup, but if he can't get the ball on a consistent basis, it may hurt England more than it did in the last round.
