WWE Raw Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights From June 8

Chris MuellerJun 8, 2026

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of WWE Raw on June 8.

This week continued the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments with two more quarterfinal matches, one from the men's bracket and one from the women's.

Here's a look at what was advertised for Monday's show:

  • Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria (Women's Intercontinental Championship)
  • Penta vs. Rey Mysterio (Men's Intercontinental Championship)
  • Seth Rollins vs. Ricky Saints vs. Talla Tonga vs. Je'Von Evans (King of the Ring)
  • Chelsea Green vs. Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss (Queen of the Ring)
  • Let's take a look at everything that happened on this week's Raw from the Accor Arena in Paris.

    The Ruler is Over

    1 of 7
    Monday Night RAW

The show opened with a shot of the Eiffel Tower as the Paris crowd cheered in the arena. After a quick recap of last week's show, we went indoors for Oba Femi's entrance.

The Ruler had the entire crowd chanting his name as he marched to the ring. He tried to talk, but the fans started chanting his name again, which put a big smile on his face.

He said he would run through everyone in the KOTR tournament and win the crown, calling it a spoiler rather than a prediction. He also said he is still looking for a rubber match against Brock Lesnar.

Just when it seemed like he was about to leave, Dominik Mysterio came out to say he would be the one winning the KOTR this year. The crowd gave him a lot of heat and tried to drown him out when he spoke. JD McDonagh hit Femi with a chair, and he didn't budge an inch.

He punched the chair into JD's face and tried to go after him, which allowed Dom to hit the 619. The Ruler recovered and threw him across the ring before he and McDonagh ran away.

The promo segment with Femi was strong, and the crowd's rowdiness helped. Having him destroy McDonagh and Mysterio was a fun way to hype their semifinal match next week.

    Grade: B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Mysterio had Dragon Lee with him when people were shown backstage. Penta should have had Rey Fenix with him, too.
  • The reaction Femi got was wild. WWE needs to keep pushing him hard.
  • Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green vs. Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch

    2 of 7
    WrestleMania 42

Last time in action: Bliss lost to Jade Cargill (SD, May 29), Lynch lost to Ruca (Clash in Italy), Green lost to Lash Legend (SD, June 5), Morgan defeated Ruca (Raw, April 20)

The Queen of the Ring quarterfinal was the first match of the night. Green, Morgan, Bliss and Lynch all fought to advance to the semifinals.

Morgan rolled out of the ring and danced around as the other three women battled. Green managed to avoid Bliss and Lynch's finishers before being tossed out of the ring. She ended up taking out Morgan and Bliss with the same crossbody a few moments later, but her celebration was cut short by The Man.

This felt highly choreographed, but we don't mean that in a bad way. Matches with four competitors sometimes end up being a mess, but they made sure everything went as planned, and each woman got a chance to be in control at various points.

Morgan ended up getting the win after a series of finishers and pinfall attempts from everyone. This was a solid match with good energy from all parties involved.

Result: Morgan defeated Lynch, Bliss and Green

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Seth Rollins gave a promo saying he and Roman Reigns have unfinished business.
  • Morgan hasn't had a match since April 20, let alone a title defense. She needs a rival immediately.
  • A big banner wishing Morgan a happy birthday hung from the stands.
  • Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria

    3 of 7
    Monday Night RAW

Last time in action: Ruca defeated Lynch (Clash in Italy), Valkyria defeated Ivy Nile (Main Event, June 1)

The current women's IC champion defended the title against the first IC champion when Ruca put the belt on the line against Valkyria. Bayley was there to hype up Lyra backstage.

As great as it was to see Ruca already taking on new challengers, the outcome of this match felt as predictable as it gets. The new champion was not about to lose her belt so soon after winning it.

However, predictability alone can't ruin a match. As long as the performers keep the crowd invested and work well together, they have succeeded. Unfortunately, Ruca and Valkyria had some missteps that created awkward moments, especially in the first half.

This was the first time these two have worked together, so some of it can be chalked up to a lack of chemistry and familiarity, but they definitely made the second half more entertaining. Ruca retained with a Sol Snatcher to get a clean win.

    Result: Ruca defeated Valkyria

    Grade: C+

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Chad Gable was shown apologizing to Penta for how he disrespected lucha libre.
  • The Usos and Jacob Fatu showed up in Rollins' locker room to warn him about what he said about Reigns. Jey tried to tell Fatu to attack Seth, but Fatu just walked away.
  • Michael Cole mentioned that Valkyria wasn't allowed to challenge Lynch for the title, but that rule was lifted as soon as Ruca won it.
  • Ruca missed a spot when Valkyria was supposed to leapfrog her in the corner, so it looked a little awkward for a moment.

    LA Knight Wants the Crown

    4 of 7
    WWE Archive

LA Knight came out after the break to give a promo, talking about his issues with Reigns and The Bloodline.

He brought up Royce Keys, Jey Uso and Finn Balor because he will be facing them on Friday in a KOTR quarterfinal match.

Knight said he doesn't take orders from Reigns and will talk about their family as much as he wants because he plans to win the KOTR and then win the title from him. Jey came out to respond, and he did his usual encore with his music just to get under Knight's skin.

They almost got physical, but Jimmy showed up to talk Jey down. This was all pretty standard stuff to hype their KOTR match.

    Grade: C+

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Knight missed catching the mic when it was tossed to him. Knight threw it back so he could catch it properly.
  • Knight's promo felt almost like a worked shoot because he was saying some very real things about not being a chosen one but being chosen by the crowd.
  • Penta vs. Rey Mysterio

    5 of 7
    Monday Night RAW

Last time in action: Penta lost to Femi (Raw, June 1), Rey and Lee defeated Rusev and Ethan Page (Raw, June 1)

The men's IC title was on the line when Mysterio challenged Penta for the belt. Cole called this a dream match, so there was a lot of pressure on them to put on a good show.

As expected, this was fast-paced right out of the gate. Rey almost hit the 619 early, but Penta managed to avoid it. A drone was used to get some unique overhead shots during the match, and Penta yelled at it at one point.

They knew everyone expected a lot, and they did a good job managing those expectations while still leaving room to grow in potential future encounters. The crowd was rowdy, and they fed off those reactions to put on a fun show.

They worked through two commercial breaks, so they had plenty of time to make sure both guys got to hit all of their big moves. Penta got a clean win with a Mexican Destroyer to end what is sure to be a highlight of the week. Page and Rusev attacked both men after it was over, but Dragon Lee made the save.

    Result: Penta defeated Mysterio

    Grade: A-

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • This was not the first time Penta and Mysterio had a singles match. Their last one was in 2018 for Northeast Wrestling.
  • Mysterio is 51 and looks like he still has quite a few years left in the tank.
  • Penta's backstabber looked great.
  • The screen went black for a few moments in the middle of the match.
  • Je'Von Evans vs. Seth Rollins vs. Talla Tonga vs. Ricky Saints

    6 of 7
    Monday Night RAW

Last time in action: Saints defeated Carmelo Hayes (SD, June 5), Rollins defeated Bron Breakker (Raw, June 1), Talla defeated Royce Keys (SD, June 5), Evans lost to Penta (Raw, May 25)

This week's main event was the men's KOTR quarterfinal with Evans, Rollins, Saints and Tonga.

The big man became an instant target for everyone else, but Talla did a good job keeping himself in the fight. Evans and Rollins formed an uneasy alliance, but Saints took advantage of it.

Talla worked with him until he got tired of it and kicked him in the face. From that point forward, there were no alliances and everyone was going after everyone else.

This was a well-paced match that gave all four guys a chance to look good, much like the women's match did earlier in the show. These are four men at very different points in their WWE careers, so it was an interesting dynamic at times.

Rollins was about to win when Austin Theory showed up and pulled the referee to keep him from counting. Montez Ford drove Theory off, but Bron Breakker showed up and hit a huge Spear. Evans prevented Ricky from taking advantage of the situation and hit the OG Cutter for the win.

Result: Evans defeated Talla, Saints and Rollins

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

  • Rusev ripped off Rey's mask, but Penta covered him up. Chad Gable ended up making the difference in the fight after Lee was taken out.
  • Roxanne Perez told Morgan she wanted her and Rodriguez to fight in the tournament. She might not be in Judgment Day much longer. She seems conflicted.
  • The Final Word

    7 of 7

This week's Raw was good in terms of the action we saw, but there simply wasn't enough of it for a two-and-a-half-hour show.

We only got four matches, two were for the men's and women's IC titles, and two were King and Queen of the Ring bouts.

All four delivered some entertaining action, but that is much too small a card for what is supposed to be the flagship show.

Much like Friday's SmackDown, there were too many ads and non-wrestling segments that didn't add much to their respective storylines.
