Paul and Mayweather went the distance in their eight-round affair at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. While the event didn't draw rave reviews, it was certainly a box-office success.
Paul, however, maintains that Mayweather still owes him $1.5 million from an agreement the unbeaten boxer originally signed to stage the fight in Dubai.
Mayweather Promotions filed suit against PAC Entertainment Worldwide in May 2021, alleging the company had missed payments. PAC Entertainment filed a counterclaim.
Paul has said previously he declined a rematch with Mayweather on two different opportunities.
Beyond the earnings he has collected as a boxer and professional wrestler, the former United States champion boosts his bank account by being a savvy collectibles investor. Last month, he sold a Pokémon Pikachu Illustrator card for a record-setting $16.5 million.
Paul estimated he has spent $10 million on Pokémon cards and suggested he has plenty remaining in his collection that would net a healthy profit.
A longtime Pokémon fan, Paul said at the 33:19 mark of the episode that Crystal is the best edition of the video game. It was the first Pokémon game he played, so he'll always have a strong emotion attachment. But he argued Crystal holds up on the merits as well.
Among the other details from the show was that Paul's 2025 wedding to Nina Agdal had a price tag of around $4 million.
He also cited his Mercedes-Benz-branded couch, which he once listed on Craigslist, as the single worst purchase he has made.
Thankfully for Paul, he has become much better at managing his money.
