Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler Fight Won't Be on UFC White House Card, Dana White Says
The long-awaited fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler won't be happening at the UFC White House event this summer, if at all.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, UFC president Dana White shot down any chances of McGregor and Chandler finally meeting in the Octagon on the June 14 card in Washington, D.C., declaring, "That's not the fight we're going with."

However, White left the door open for McGregor to be featured on the White House card, telling McAfee, "He's definitely in the running for this fight."
This marks the second time this week that White dismissed a rumored fight for McGregor at the UFC White House event, as he told TMZ that any speculation of a fight between the Irishman and Jorge Masvidal is "goofy s--t."
McGregor and Chandler have been linked together since filming the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter reality competition series in 2023. They were originally scheduled to fight at UFC 303 in June 2024, but McGregor was forced to withdraw due to a toe injury. Chandler has since fought twice in losing efforts against Charles Oliveira and Paddy Pimblett, respectively.
Despite the lack of traction on his fight against McGregor, Chandler said during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show that he's still holding out hope that they will finally get to settle their differences.
White's comments indicate that Chandler will have to pivot, as his fight against McGregor doesn't appear to be happening this summer.
