Jaylen Brown Makes Boxing Debut in Trending Video From Nigeria After 76ers Trade Ahead of NBA Season
Jaylen Brown's very interesting summer now includes... boxing?
Yeah, boxing. The Philadelphia 76ers star made his sweet science debut on Wednesday in Nigeria:
While this may appear to be coming out of left field, Brown has trained in Muay Thai and spoken about having a potential combat sport career after he's done with the NBA.
"To be honest, I've toyed with this and I've talked to some people," he told reporters in February. "Maybe post part of my career, I'd love to partake in something like UFC or even boxing. I've talked to Dana White about some stuff, but we'll see as things go on. We'll see."
For now, the Sixers are hoping he can pair with LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe to help end a long title drought. But it's clear Brown has a combat sports itch he intends to scratch.
