Quicken Loans National 2015: Dates, Tee Times, TV Info, Prize Money
The Quicken Loans National is in its ninth year but will be played for the first time at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia.
This venue has a history steeped in the Presidents Cup, which has been hosted four times at the course. Ten players with experience in the competition will tee it up this week, including golf's biggest draw in Tiger Woods, who's won the event twice and serves as host.
Justin Rose is the defending champion, though that doesn't mean much since last season's event took place at Congressional. One reason to go with Rose is his tie for sixth at The Open Championship in his last start—his first top 10 as a professional at the year's third major.

Stars to Watch
Any tournament Woods is playing in is worth a gander. Although his influence over the game of golf lingers, Woods' prime and status as one of the world's best are a further fading memory.
Missing the cut at St. Andrews in The Open Championship, where Woods had won the Claret Jug in 2000 and 2005, was a particularly discouraging setback. Now Woods has to dig deep and try to grind out a good finish.
Woods spoke about his outlook for the Quicken Loans National on Wednesday, per PGATour.com's Brian Wacker:
"It's frustrating not to be able to win golf tournaments. I'm not really there in contention very often and so that part is frustrating. But I know how close it feels and I know that I just need a couple shots here and there and it turns the tide. Every time I've had those opportunities I haven't done it.
"
A return to form for Woods would be great for golf and for ratings at this event, but expectations have to be lowered at this point. The focus ought to shift on to younger stars who are deserving of the spotlight Woods occupied primarily on his own for so long.
Along with Rose—more on him in a moment—26-year-old Rickie Fowler figures to be in the hunt for the trophy. The reigning Players Championship winner took the Scottish Open across the pond before managing just a tie for 30th at St. Andrews.

But putting was all that held Fowler back from having a legitimate chance at the Claret Jug. Fowler took 133 putts—a 33.25 average—over four British Open rounds, per TheOpen.com. If he can get the flat iron working again, the young American stands to have a chance in Gainesville.
In addition to the strong showing at The Home of Golf, Rose tied for second at the Masters Tournament, lost in a playoff at the Memorial Tournament and won at the Zurich Classic earlier this year. He's acquitted himself quite well on a variety of stages.
Golf writer Rex Hoggard alluded to the favorable scoring conditions, which play right into Rose's wheelhouse:
Rose is third on the PGA Tour in birdie average this season. Last year's tournament took only a score of four under par overall to win, which will be drastically different from the 2015 total.
The ability to grind it out with a U.S. Open victory on his resume and the 2014 Quicken Loans National show Rose's game can travel anywhere. This new site shouldn't diminish Rose's chances of winning as he bids to become the first successful defending champion in the tournament's history.
