Jordan Spieth at British Open 2015: Friday Leaderboard Score, Twitter Reaction
Rainy conditions prevented Jordan Spieth from finishing his second round Friday at The Open Championship, but the reigning Masters and U.S. Open titleist will have plenty of work to do when play resumes Saturday at St. Andrews, Scotland.
The 21-year-old phenom is at even par in his second round through 13 holes, which puts him in a tie for 15th place at five under overall and five strokes behind leader Dustin Johnson.
Here is a look at the leaders, with full score available at PGATour.com:

Spieth was having a decent round when play was officially called for the day, but with the likes of Johnson, Hideki Matsuyama, Danny Willett, Adam Scott and Marc Warren posting low scores, he had a tough time making up ground.
The talented Texan's scorecard is as follows with five holes left to finish Saturday:
| Par | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 36 |
| Round 2 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 6 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 35 |
| Overall Score | -5 | -5 | -5 | -5 | -4 | -5 | -6 | -5 | -6 | -6 |
| Par | 4 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 36 |
| Round 2 | 4 | 4 | 4 | 4 | ||||||
| Overall Score | -6 | -5 | -5 | -5 |
Having already won a pair of majors this year, there was certainly a great deal of pressure on Spieth entering the second round. Although he found himself inside the top 10 after the opening round, he was actually in somewhat unfamiliar territory considering how well he played in the Masters and U.S. Open, according to SportsCenter on Twitter:
Spieth was supposed to tee off much earlier in the day, but rain forced him to wait around for three hours. Rather than letting that time go to waste, though, his caddie took steps to better understand the Old Course and how it plays, per Amanda Balionis of PGATour.com:
Once Spieth finally got his round started, he was more solid than spectacular, as he parred each of the first four holes.
He then followed that up with a bogey on the par-five fifth, which was an incredibly rare moment considering his dominance over par-five holes at majors this year, according to Golf Channel:
Although it wasn't an ideal start for the man looking to win the calendar Grand Slam, he was able to right the ship throughout the remainder of the back nine.
Spieth went on to birdie three of the next four holes; however, he bogeyed the par-three eighth, which gave him a one-under front nine and an overall score of six under par.
He and the rest of his group were able to get through only four holes on the back nine, and while Spieth parred three of them, he bogeyed the par-three 11th to drop back down to five under par.
Spieth and his group halted play during the 14th hole due to darkness, and they will get an early start Saturday, according to Ryan Lavner of Golf Channel:
If Spieth is going to make a run at The Open Championship title, then he will have to overcome a familiar foe in the form of Johnson. The American duo have dominated major play this season, and Spieth once again finds himself chasing DJ.
While both golfers still have to finish the second round, Johnson is in position to continue an impressive streak they have put together in 2015, per ESPN Stats & Info:
Spieth isn't at all surprised that he is attempting to track down the man he narrowly beat at the U.S. Open. Following the first round at St. Andrews, the world's No. 2 player praised Johnson and how well his game translates to the course, according to ESPN.com's Ian O'Connor:
"If DJ keeps driving it the way he is, then I'm going to have to play my best golf to have a chance. It's hard to argue with somebody who's splitting bunkers at about 380 yards and just two-putting for birdie on five or six of the holes when there's only two par-5s. I don't have that in the bag, so I've got to make up for it with ballstriking.
"
Spieth hasn't played poorly so far in the second round, but he has canceled out his birdies with bogeys and hasn't compared to the locked-in nature of Johnson.
There are other strong golfers whom Spieth must contend with Saturday and Sunday in order to win his third consecutive major, but Johnson undoubtedly looks like the guy to beat and his chief competition for the second big event in a row.
Spieth still has time to close the gap, but he may need some help as well in the form of another DJ meltdown to make that happen.
