Open Championship 2015: Live Stream Schedule, Tee Times and Friday Weather Info
Dustin Johnson's first-round score of 65 puts him at the top of the leaderboard at seven-under par at the British Open Championship and helps quiet the murmurs of a U.S. Open hangover.
The 31-year-old showed why his distance may be his most notable strength by averaging 323 yards off the tee in the first round. On top of that, Johnson's accuracy was on full display as he hit 15 of the 18 greens in regulation Thursday.
The Old Course at St. Andrews features two par-fives, and Johnson got through both of these holes with only seven shots. The South Carolina native used his distance to eagle the fifth hole and birdie the 14th hole in the first round to jump out to an early lead in Scotland.

With the U.S. Open only a month in the past, the most anticipated pairing on Thursday probably featured Johnson and Jordan Spieth. After winning at both Augusta National and Chambers Bay, Spieth is trying to win his third major of the year.
The 21-year-old finished the first round with seven birdies and only two bogies to leave him tied for eighth at five under par heading into Friday.
Spieth benefited from an early tee time Thursday, as he received favorable conditions on his front nine but then had to deal with high winds on the second half of his round. The Dallas native found the challenging conditions to be a different—but fun—obstacle than he is used to facing back in the United States.
As both Johnson and Spieth continued to impress, Tiger Woods continued to struggle. The three-time British Open Champion shot a 76 to finish four over par.
Before the tournament, Woods joked about not being old enough to retire because he is not old enough to get his AARP card yet. After Woods finished the first round with one birdie and five bogeys, AARP took to social media to fire back at the famous golfer.
As the first group has already teed off at 1:33 a.m. ET, here is all of the information you need to follow along with the action Friday.

Friday's Weather
Thursday's wind proved difficult for players in the afternoon, but Friday's rain and gusts will likely create even more chaos.
There is a 100 percent chance of rain and heavy storms in the morning. Winds will come from the south at 20-30 mph and get as high as 40 mph at times. In the afternoon, the rain may slow down and players may even see some sun, according to Weather.com.
Zach Johnson performed admirably in the wind on Thursday and managed to finish the first round at six-under and tied for second despite teeing off in the afternoon. The 39-year-old tees off 8 a.m. local time and may be in store for the worst of the weather for the second day in a row.
As the second round progresses, scores may drop as the rain lets up, and players who tee off in the afternoon may reap the benefits.
