Jayson Werth Injury: Updates on Nationals Star's Wrist and Return
Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth has been activated and is in the lineup against the Marlins, after being on the disabled list since May 19 with a pair of fractures in his wrist, according to Chris Johnson of MASN.
"Werth says his wrist feels great. Felt the strength in there come around the last handful of days," per Dan Kolko of MASN.
James Wagner of the Washington Post noted Werth went 11-for-30 in his nine rehab games with Triple-A affiliate Syracuse. The 36-year-old outfielder hadn't appeared in a game for the Nats since May 15.

While Werth has played in just 27 games this season, the Nationals have still managed to thrive. They lead the New York Mets by two games for the National League East lead and continue to look like serious World Series contenders.
Getting Werth back will undoubtedly provide a major boost, though, as he hit .292 with 16 home runs and 82 RBI last year.
He is a versatile player who can be inserted almost anywhere in the lineup and plays great defense to boot, so his return will add yet another big-time weapon to a team that already has a great chance to win it all in 2015.
