Je'Von Evans vs. Jasper Troy
2 of 8
The winner of LFG season one, Jasper Troy, wrestled his most important match to date to kick off Saturday's show, squaring off with former No. 1 contender to the NXT title, Je'Von Evans.
A very fun David vs. Goliath saw Troy toss Evans around the ring, overpowering him and punishing his smaller opponent for the majority of the bout. Like that epic, though, it was Evans who was able to outlast the giant, even overcoming a rib injury to stack the rookie big man up and score the roll-up victory.
It will be interesting to see if this feud continues, especially with the intent appearing to be a statement-maker for Troy, but for now, fans of Evans should be more than excited about him securing a big premium live event win and remaining a legitimate contender with the brand.

Top Moments and Takeaways
* The opening video package and commentary team did a fantastic job of putting over the prestige of the Great American Bash, as well as the history within the walls of Center Stage in Atlanta.
* Evans is ready for that big push. He has been, but what he did with Troy here and the match he was able to get out of the relatively inexperienced big man only further proved it.
NXT Women's North American Championship Match: Sol Ruca vs. Izzi Dame
3 of 8
Despite a tremendous showing from The Culling's Izzi Dame in her first major singles match on a premium live event card, Sol Ruca successfully retained her NXT Women's North American Championship in the first women's match of the weekend.
A match that was much better than expected not only highlighted Ruca's impressive improvements between the ropes but also gave fans a look at what they can expect from Dame moving forward.
The heel never looked out of place, turning in a great performance that should have fans and management alike excited about her prospects.
Ruca retaining and continuing to build her resume as a belt collector is far from a bad idea and will only help her make the transition from NXT to the main roster that much more seamlessly.

Top Moments and Takeaways
* A great false finish right out of the gate as Dame capitalized on a momentary distraction at ringside, delivered a powerbomb, and had Ruca pinned for about a seven count before the referee made the count.
* Ruca is showing great intensity and aggression with her strikes, an element of her work that needed improvement. Her attention to that detail is what will make her a star at the next level.
* Zaria obliterated Paxley on the floor, preventing her from playing a role in the outcome
Anything Goes, Falls Count Anywhere: Ricky Saints vs. Ethan Page
4 of 8
The NXT North American Championship was at stake next as "All Ego" Ethan Page defended against Ricky Saints in an Anything Goes, Falls Count Anywhere Match.
A wild, chaotic brawl spilled from the ring to the stands, into the backstage arena, and back to the area before it reached its crescendo on the Great American Bash stage.
There, a battered and bruised Saints utilized the official as a base for his tornado DDT on Page but All Ego kicked out at two. The champion recovered, hoisted Saints overhead, and delivered Ego's Edge off the stage and through two tables on the floor. Three seconds later and the most hated man in NXT scored the win and successful title defense.
Some will take exception to Saints losing here. Still, the win elevates Page, who needed a strong, decisive victory like this to enhance his credibility, enforce his legitimacy, and strengthen his title reign.
Saints will get his, be it with a win over All Ego or for the NXT Championship, but this was as much about Page as anything.
As for the match, this was a ton of fun, with a few quality spots that generated fan reaction and some unique spots that looked genuinely punishing.

Top Moments and Takeaways
* This, arguably, could have been the main event on this show given the feud and history between the competitors.
* Page once again used a steel chair to target the larynx of his opponent, a nice call back to one of the biggest moments of this program.
* Page back body dropped Saints on the edges of two steel chairs. A moment that could not have felt good no matter how many times pro wrestlers spend learning to fall.
* Backstage, the champion sent Saints into a frustrated and sulking Jasper Troy, who delivered a Black Hole Slam to the challenger, onto an anvil case.
TNA Championship Match Contract Signing
5 of 8
The TNA Championship will be defended in a Triple Threat Match at Slammiversary when Trick Williams defends his title against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry. Saturday afternoon, they signed the contract for the pay-per-view main event.
All three said their piece, hyping up the main event of the July 20 extravaganza, with Williams showing the braggadocio that has helped him become an effective heel. Hendry and Santana, tired of the NXT star holding their title and running his mouth, put him through a table.
After the segment, Dark State appeared and laid out the challengers while Williams watched from the ramp.
Well, it was a segment.
A segment in which nothing was advanced or really even added to the show in any measurable way.

Top Moments and Takeaways
* Williams still gets babyface reactions for his entrance, which is a testament to the bond he forged with the NXT fans.
* "I'm the man carrying two brand. Let's talk about it," Williams said, to chants of "whoop that Trick."
* "This isn't about making people believe or making promises to your daughter," Williams said, referencing the motivations of his opponents.
NXT Championship Match: Oba Femi vs.Yoshiki Inamura
6 of 8
Oba Femi faced the toughest test of his reign as NXT champion, something few would have expected when Yoshiki Inamura was named the No. 1 contender to this title.
The Japanese-born competitor took the fight to Femi, matching his physicality, strength, and fury and nearly defeating him.
Late in the match, Josh Briggs attempted to take advantage of a referee bump, catching the champion in the back of the head with his title. Inamura wanted nothing to do with winning that way and denounced his partner's interference.
I proved his undoing as Femi delivered Fall From Grace to win the match and retain his title.
This was a banger, a battle of big men that exceeded expectations and made a star out of Inamura. It passed the Big E test of "big meaty men slapping meat," or something like that, and was a completely different match than anything we have seen out of Femi during this title reign.
It worked and the finish sets up a breakup between Briggs and Inamura, not to mention the resumption of a rivalry between the former and Femi, who competed in one of the best NXT matches of the year in 2024 at Stand & Deliver along with Dijak.

Top Moments and Takeaways
* Not since WrestleMania 40 weekend in Philadelphia have we seen Femi tested physically like he was by Inamura here.
* The champion has one of the best spinebusters in wrestling. Absolute torque.
* This is the best Inamura has looked in WWE. An absolute force of nature against a guy who had previously been unstoppable in NXT.
Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe vs. Fatal Influence
7 of 8
Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe were already a problem for Fatal Influence entering Saturday's Great American Bash main event but after it, there is no denying that Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx's stranglehold on the women's division and the NXT women's title is in danger.
Grace and Monroe overcame a strong effort from Jayne and Henley, and benefited from TNA Knockouts champion Masha Slamovich appearing and offsetting interference from Nyx, to pick up a win.
Monroe scored the win on Jayne, a point the commentary team of Vic Joseph, Corey Graves, and Booker T made more than once in the closing moments of the event. That would seem to suggest that she will be in line for a title opportunity. The question is whether it comes against her newfound friend, Grace, or against a champion in Jayne that appears to be more beatable than the Juggernaut.
One thing is for sure: Monroe showed through her in-ring work that she may be a better heel than babyface, but she can work as either.
Result
Monroe and Grace defeated Henley and Jayne
Grade
B
Top Moments and Takeaways
* Dissension within Fatal Influence teased as Henley appeared none-too-eager to join Jayne in the ring for the match, perhaps frustrated over the recent "me first" attitude of her longtime teammate.
* Monroe and Grace really put over the teamwork and in-ring prowess of Fatal Influence, with each enduring heat periods before exploding back into the match.
* Nyx and Slamovich unloaded on each other with forearms in a key spot near the end of the match.
Overall Grade
8 of 8
The 2025 Great American Bash was a lot of fun and provided fans some very good wrestling matches. From Evans and Troy kicking things off hot, to Ruca and Dame's surprisingly strong effort, to Saints and Page tearing the house down, the first-half of the show delivered above expectations.
The second half featured a banger of a bout from Femi and Inamura and a fun, electric tag match from the women's division.
As positive as that all sounds, there is still no reason that this show needed to exist this afternoon. Very little actually happened to justify booking it, with little in the way of advancement.
A worthwhile match for fans of wrestling or those looking to kill some time, this was a good show but not one that will be readily memorable by the time Tuesday's regular episode of NXT TV is over.
