Fred Warner Shades Sean McVay Saying Rams Were 'Well Rested' with IG Video After 49ers Win

An 11-month absence did nothing to diminish Fred Warner's ability to dominate, as he showed throughout the San Francisco 49ers' 27-7 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.

Following the Niners' impressive performance, Warner threw some shade by posting a clip on his Instagram of Rams head coach Sean McVay's pre-game comment about how "well rested" they were after traveling to Australia two days before the game.

Warner said during his postgame press conference that he felt like the 49ers "got stronger" throughout the game, while the Rams "withered away" as it went on.

Much was made of the different travel plans for the 49ers and Rams with this game taking place in Melbourne. San Francisco arrived last week, while Los Angeles left on Tuesday and didn't land until Thursday.

Based on the results of the game, Warner and the 49ers had the much better approach. The seven points for the Rams were their fewest in a game since Week 9 of the 2023 season against the Green Bay Packers when Brett Rypien was the starting quarterback.
