Weather: Like with the first ODI, a thunderstorm is forecast for late afternoon and could disrupt play. AccuWeather.com suggests the first storm will hit around 2 p.m., but things should clear up soon after. The first match had to be reduced to 40 overs a side because of bad weather, and it could happen again on Sunday.
Overview
Bangladesh have been making history on one-day cricket recently, and they can do so again when they take on South Africa in Chittagong on Wednesday. Having already triumphed over Pakistan and India, the hosts can seal an ODI series win over South Africa.
On Sunday, Bangladesh beat South Africa for only the second time ever, and while their Champions Trophy qualification has now been sealed, a series victory will be a big boost.
The two ODIs that have been completed have had an eerily similar narrative. The team that bats first has been bundled out for a low total, and the team chasing notched the total up with ease. Both those games were played in Dhaka, but the teams now shift to Chittagong to complete the series.
The slow and sticky wicket in Dhaka was a big talking point, but Chittagong is likely to offer a far flatter surface which should make batting easier.
Still, the highest score at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is 281, which is relatively low by modern standards. Bangladesh have played just 15 matches here, the last being against Zimbabwe last year.
For both teams, this will be a test of their batting. For South Africa, their senior players have to stand up in the absence of AB de Villiers, while the hosts must show that they can be consistent. The bowlers from both teams have been impressive, and there should not be too many worries for either side in that department.
If both teams fire at the same time, it should be a very good match provided the weather stays away.
Key players
Bangladesh
Nasir Hossain has been one of the key bowlers for Bangladesh, with four wickets at an average of 13.50. Most importantly, Bangladesh's bowlers have worked together as a unit, but Sunny's role in squeezing the runs out of the batting innings has been impressive.
South Africa
Faf du Plessis has been South Africa's best batsman in this series. He is a good player of spin and will once again be seen as the anchor in the South African innings.
