US Open Golf 2025 Saturday Tee Times, TV Schedule, Live Stream, More

Nicholas NathansonJun 14, 2025

How difficult has Oakmont Country Club been this week?

After two days at the 2025 U.S. Open, there are more players with scores of 20-over par or worse (10) than there are players with scores under par (3).

Yes, you read that right.

Bryson DeChambeau finished 10-over, Rory McIlroy needed a pair of birdies late to make the seven-under cut, and Scottie Scheffler is four-over.

Sam Burns enters Saturday's play atop the leaderboard at three-over with a one-stroke advantage on J.J. Spaun.

The full list of Saturday's tee times can be found here. TV coverage starts at 10 a.m. ET on USA and shifts to NBC at 12 p.m. ET. The event can also be live-streamed on Peacock.

Sam Burns, J.J. Spaun On Top Of Leaderboard

Sam Burns

After the first two days of the 2025 U.S. Open, Sam Burns and J.J. Spaun are atop the leaderboard.

Spaun made a strong start with a four-under round on Thursday, and Sam Burns paved the way with a five-under round on Friday.

On a course where staying away from the thick rough is crucial, Spaun has hit an impressive 68 percent of fairways

Burns has stayed equally composed and absolutely dominated on Friday.

The 28-year-old American has averaged the second-fewest putts per hole and bogeyed just once on Friday.

Both Americans have been outliers on a course that has been notable for struggles this week.

However, considering each player's lack of success at majors and that no lead is safe on this course, there is certainly a window of opportunity for Viktor Hovland, Brooks Koepka, and, of course, Scottie Scheffler.

Scottie Scheffler Moves On, Bryson DeChambeau Misses The Cut

Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler has been untouchable lately.

The top-ranked PGA Tour golfer has won 3 of his last 7 starts while finishing no worse than 8th in the other four, entering as the biggest favorite to win the U.S. Open since Tiger Woods in 2009.

But Oakmont Country Club is anything but routine for any golfer, even a three-time major winner.

Scheffler finished with a 71 on Friday, two strokes better than Thursday; however, he continued to struggle with Oakmont's knee-deep roughs and unpredictable greens, carding 11 bogeys in the first two rounds.

2024 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau also faced the wrath of Oakmont.

There's no denying DeChambeau's overwhelming power, but there is little margin of error on this course where hitting the fairway means everything.

DeChambeau looked near-certain of coming close to or making the seven-over cut with five holes to play but carded a double-bogey followed by consecutive bogeys.

The 31-year-old American finished three shots back from the cut, while Scheffler advances with a four-over score, seven strokes back from the lead.

Rory Mcllroy Survives The Cut Late

Rory Mcllroy

Rory McIlroy had placed in the top 10 in 6 consecutive U.S. Opens, the longest streak since Jack Nicklaus from 1977 to 1982.

Furthermore, just two months ago he won the Masters to become the sixth-ever golfer to complete the career Grand Slam.

However, Oakmont makes no exceptions, especially for a player who has been in shakier form over the past few weeks.

A week after failing to make the cut at the RBC Canadian Open—where he finished at least ninth in the previous three years—McIlroy looked in danger of missing the cut at the U.S. Open for the first time since 2018.

Mcllroy caught fire late on Friday, carding two birdies in his final four holes to make the cut.
