No. 5 North Carolina 18, Arizona 2

The Tar Heels are used to Jake Knapp starts being a breeze. However, this one was a bit different.

The ace pitcher allowed nine hits and two runs while striking out just three in seven innings. While this was an excellent start, it was a bit below the standard he has set all season, especially when it comes to hits allowed.

His teammates picked up the slack and then some, however, as the North Carolina put up 18 runs to run away with the victory.

This was Knapp's 14th win of the season, which ties him with Greg Norris for the most single-season wins in program history.

North Carolina scored their 18 runs on 17 hits. They also drew five walks and only struck out four times.

Center Fielder Kane Kepley went 3-for-5 with four runs scored and an RBI, third baseman Gavin Gallaher went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBIs while first baseman Hunter Stokely went 3-for-4 with five RBIs.

The Tar Heels will now look to return to the College World Series for the second consecutive season while Arizona will look to rebound and avoid elimination.

Louisville 8, Miami (FL) 1

A little rain wasn't going to stop a potent Louisville offense.

The Cardinals exploded for eight runs in the first four innings and locked it down at the end to claim an 8-1 victory over Miami and take a 1-0 series lead.

The Cardinals scored their eight runs on 10 hits and three walks. Jake Munroe smashed two home runs and drove in five runs while Garret Pike crushed a solo home runs to put Louisville way ahead.

No. 8 Oregon State 5, No. 9 Florida State 4 (10 innings)

A three-run lead with two outs in the bottom of the ninth wasn't enough for Florida State to hold off Oregon State on Friday.

The Beavers rallied to tie the game on a two-run single from Jacob Krieg with two strikes and two outs.

Reliever Kellan Oakes kept FSU off the board in the top of the 10th inning.

Oregon State then loaded the bases in the bottom of the frame before walking off with the victory thanks to AJ Singer's RBI single.

In addition to Singer and Krieg, Wilson Weber, Bryce Hubbard, Dallas Macias and Aiva Arquette recorded hits in the last two innings of the Beavers' comeback.

Dax Whitney recorded the win after striking out ten batters, while allowing four hits and one run, through 4.2 innings pitched.

No. 13 Coastal Carolina 7, No. 4 Auburn 6 (10 innings)

Caden Bodine hit a solo home run in the top of the 10th inning to guide Coastal Carolina to a 7-6 win over host Auburn.

Bodine and Blagen Pado hit two homers apiece for the Chanticleers, who have now won 22 straight games and 52 overall.

Bodine also added an RBI single in the fourth to give Coastal Carolina a 6-1 lead. However, Auburn fought back with one apiece in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings before adding two in the seventh capped by Eric Snow's solo shot.

Auburn later threatened to pull off a comeback and walkoff win after Bub Terrell and Ike Irish walked to start the bottom of the ninth. However, Coastal Carolina reliever Matthew Potok struck out Cooper McMurray before second baseman Blake Barthol snared a Lucas Steele liner and threw to shortstop Ty Dooley to double up Terrell to end the inning.

Bodine's homer put Coastal Carolina up 7-6. In the bottom of the 10th, Snow led off with a single. Bristol Carter then sacrificed Snow to second. However, Barthol then ended the game on another double play, catching a Chase Fralick liner and doubling up Snow after a toss to Dooley to end the game.

Coastal Carolina is looking for its first College World Series appearance (and second overall) since 2016, when the Chanticleers won the national championship.
