AEW Dynamite Results, Winners, Live Grades, Highlights After Double or Nothing 2025
All Elite Wrestling delivered one of its greatest shows yet with Sunday's Double or Nothing 2025. And the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas was host to the aftermath on May 28.
"Hangman" Adam Page won one of the best matches of 2025 over Will Ospreay to claim the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. He would appear live on Dynamite.
Mercedes Moné barely won over Jamie Hayter to clinch the women's Owen Hart tournament. She would confront her All In opponent, Toni Storm, in the ring.
Following The Don Callis Family's win at Double or Nothing, Kyle Fletcher challenged Adam Cole for the TNT Championship. Would this be the end of Cole's reign?
While Kenny Omega recovered from Anarchy in the Arena, his next challengers lined up. Josh Alexander and Brody King would fight for a spot in a Fatal 4-Way for the International Championship.
Anna Jay and Harley Cameron defeated Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford on The Buy-In. They would face off in a No Disqualification rematch.
Willow Nightingale teamed with Mark Briscoe and "Speedball" Mike Bailey to fight Marina Shafir, Jon Moxley and Gabe Kidd.
This was the foundation for a show that had much to live up to in the aftermath of Double or Nothing.
Will Ospreay Cannot Get Cowboy and Swerve on Same Page
1 of 8Tony Schiavone introduced "Hangman" Adam Page, who put over his win at Double or Nothing.
The Cowboy celebrated his victory before promising to take back the AEW World Championship.
Swerve Strickland interrupted to question if he was the reason The Young Bucks cost him the AEW World Championship. Page would not take the blame.
Will Ospreay arrived before things escalated. He tried to convince The Mogul that they needed to work together to help The Cowboy, but Swerve walked out.
This ran a little long, but that is the only complaint for a great segment that established the key drama of Hangman's rise to the AEW World Championship.
Hangman vs. Swerve is one of AEW's greatest rivalries, and it is time to test how far they can go working together. It will not be easy for Ospreay to keep them from falling out, though.
It was great to hear Page firmly state that he needs to beat Jon Moxley and liberate the AEW World Championship.
He is the sympathetic crowd favorite who is now fully focused on taking down the big bad of the business. The next stage is putting Hangman and Moxley in the ring at the same time again.
Grade
A
Notable Moments
- The Cowboy gave credit to The Aerial Assassin for reminding him why he loves this business. He put over Ospreay as the future.
- Hangman gave back the Men's Owen Championship because it was not his to defend. He then turned his focus to the AEW World Championship.
- Schiavone left the ring once Swerve glared at him.
- Hangman admitted he briefly considered helping Swerve at Dynasty.
Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd, Marina vs. Mark Briscoe, Mike Bailey, Willow Nightingale
2 of 8After a tough fight for The Death Riders, Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd and Marina Shafir took control away from Mark Briscoe, "Speedball" Mike Bailey and Willow Nightingale.
Mox locked in the Bulldog Choke while Shafir and Kidd stopped Willow and Bailey. Referee Aubrey Edwards called for the bell when Briscoe was no longer able to defend himself.
This was a fun contest that solidified the danger The Death Riders still pose, even after some tough losses. In particular, Kidd looked fearsome while destroying everyone in his path.
Mox needs some wins like this to remind everyone how dangerous he can be, especially preparing for a war with a man like Adam Page.
Willow and Shafir continue to deliver while working with the men of AEW, and hopefully more women get opportunities like this.
The spotlight alone has made these two look like big enough stars to fight anyone and go for any gold in the future.
Result
Moxley, Kidd and Shafir def. Briscoe, Bailey and Willow by referee stoppage.
Grade
B
Notable Moments
- The Death Riders arrived in a truck after the opener, implying Moxley was not around to hear the faces conspiring in the opening segment.
- Kidd saved Shafir from the pin before Briscoe clotheslined him. After Bailey sent Mox running with kicks, Shafir suplexed him on his head.
- Kidd tossed Spedball clean over the barricade through a table.
- Kris Statlander watched the action backstage without expression.
- Wheeler Yuta got involved multiple times until he got kicked in the face. Castagnoli finally arrived, only for Komander to dive onto him.
No DQ: Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford vs. Anna Jay and Harley Cameron
3 of 8Anna Jay and Harley Cameron threw everything at Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford, but The Megasus was too much for them to fight.
She and Ford hit a Doomsday Device on Harley to seal the victory.
This was strong storytelling in the ring let down a bit by sloppy execution, including an unfortunate miss by Ford on the Doomsday Device.
The overreliance on weapons became a crutch as the women were struggling to move around in a ring so overloaded with chairs and trash cans.
However, it was a major success in terms of putting over the toughness of the talent involved. Bayne looked unstoppable throughout, leaving both opponents bloody messes.
Harley fought with blood covering her face while Jay only stopped fighting when officials intervened due to her injuries.
If this is the end of the story for these competitors, this feud was a rousing success that may have set up two key tag teams in a future women's tag division.
Result
Bayne and Ford def. Jay and Cameron by pinfall.

Notable Moments
- Harley and Anna hit Bayne with multiple weapons, but she would not go down and laid both out with a running clothesline.
- Bayne bounced Harley off the steel steps and busted her open, leaving her with a bloodied smile.
- The Megasus hit Anna with Fate's Descent on a steel chair, taking her out of the rest of the match.
- In a promo backstage after Double or Nothing, MJF and MVP delivered a firm warning to the locker room that The Hurt Syndicate is coming for more gold and glory.
- At an undisclosed location, Ricochet said he needs a crew to watch his back in AEW. This could be a good role for CRU.
AEW Trios Championship: The Opps (c) vs. The Frat House/Thekla Arrives
4 of 8The Opps made quick work of The Frat House after Powerhouse Hobbs laid out Cole Karter with a Spinebuster.
Renee Paquette was ready to talk with Jamie Hayter, but the lights went out. When they went back on, "The Toxic Spider" Thekla laid her out.
There was only one way this match could go, as The Frat House is a most obnoxious jobber gimmick on the current AEW roster.
Hopefully, AEW does not rely too much on the group as it is a genuinely annoying gimmick. It does work occasionally to get easy heat and give some babyfaces a quick win, though.
Thekla's arrival was the biggest story and a genuine fun moment for the future of AEW. She stands out on an improving women's roster with her confident presentation.
The segment was over quick, but it worked in selling this was a surprise attack that will have stronger follow-up down the road.
A feud with Hayter gives her an immediate top star to work with and makes sure both stay relevant for a while.
Result
Hobbs, Joe and Shibata def. Karter, Preston Vance and Griff Garrison by pinfall to retain the AEW Trios Championships.
Grade
D+ (for the match)/B (for the debut)
Notable Moments
- AEW showed highlights of The Frat House's night on the town on Tuesday before this match.
- Before the contest, Jack Jameson mocked the crowd and said the Frat House initiation was a failure.
TNT Championship: Adam Cole (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher
5 of 8Adam Cole overcame The Don Callis Family's interference as well as the brutal offense of Kyle Fletcher until he was set up for the Last Shot.
Josh Alexander ran down to attack Cole and cause a disqualification.
Cole vs. Fletcher was the obvious direction after recent interactions between Paragon and the Family. But it was surprising to see it thrown on Dynamite without build.
The pace of this match allowed Fletcher to mostly dominate, but the finish made it look like Fletcher was not at Cole's level yet.
It was odd booking after all the protection of Fletcher. The interference of Alexander did not protect the finish as the challenger still lost.
This was not good enough to make up for the non-finish, but hopefully the likely rematch down the line will be stronger. Fletcher dethroning Cole still makes most sense.
Result
Cole def. Fletcher by disqualification; Cole remains TNT champion.
Grade

Notable Moments
- RPG Vice threatened to get involved, but Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly fought them off.
- Fletcher hit an apron powerbomb on Cole where his head bounced hard on the apron. It was a scary impact, but he was able to continue.
- King came out to make the save with a steel chair, seemingly pushing up King vs. Alexander to happen right after the break.
- AEW aired a hype video for Mistico likely to make sure fans are aware of him ahead of Grand Slam: Mexico in Mexico City on June 18.
Continental Championship 4-Way Qualifier: Brody King vs. Josh Alexander
6 of 8Josh Alexander dominated Brody King technically, making it hard for King to lift his right arm. However, the big man was able to catch him with a clothesline and Gonzo Bomb to win.
This was a great match as expected given the first clash between these two men. Alexander showed out in his technical ability, playing to his strength against his bigger opponent.
King was great as always and keeps delivering in big spots. He was deservedly rewarded with a nice win. He will likely be the highlight star of the Fatal 4-Way.
Hopefully, Alexander is OK after an unintentional injury that left him bleeding badly. He has made the most of his early time in AEW.
Result
King def. Alexander by pinfall to qualify for the Continental Championship Fatal 4-Way next week.
Grade
A
Notable Moments

- Alexander got busted open badly when King landed on him off a suplex, leaving his face covered in blood at the end of the match.
- Kyle Fletcher complained about Alexander interfering in his match backstage until Cole attacked him. Officials had to break it up.
Mercedes Moné and Toni Storm Trade Verbal Shots in First Face-to-Face
7 of 8Mercedes Moné and "Timeless" Toni Storm met in the center of the ring to share their first words. While The CEO was confident at first, The Timeless One rattled her.
The two shook hands, only to quickly turn to action. Moné bailed from the ring without her titles to avoid a Storm Zero.
This was a great top-star showdown segment that has long been in the making. Storm and Moné are the biggest names in the AEW women's division, and they made clear they know what it means for them to fight.
The Timeless One outshined The CEO on the microphone, but that was expected, even just from a character perspective. It takes time to get used to dealing with Storm.
The main concern with this segment is simply that they may have done too much too soon. Big verbal shots have already been exchanged. They have even teased hitting their finishers.
This needs to get even bigger from here ahead of All In on July 12. There are plenty of directions this can go, but this is the right time to fully test Moné's character work against AEW's best character.
Grade
A-
Notable Moments
- Moné arrived in a low rider during the show.
- Storm called out that The CEO for waiting 441 days since her debut to finally even talk to her.
- The CEO promised "the greatest women's match of all time."
- Storm hinted at her similar journey to Moné in leaving WWE to become the top women in AEW.
- Storm called Moné "the greatest of all time" but reminded her she is "timeless."
- The two ended the show dancing back and forth.
Overall Show
8 of 8Dynamite often feels lighter right after a PPV, as the roster is recovering from competing at a high level.
For that reason, it was unsurprising that this was a more talk-first episode. Luckily, the promo segments hit consistently.
The opener and closer both sold AEW's biggest matches for All In and set a standard the company will need to build upon for the next six weeks.
Adam Page vs. Jon Moxley is helped by just how many people are involved in the war of AEW vs. The Death Riders plus the great drama of Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman coming back around.
The bigger challenge will be elevating the foundation of Toni Storm vs. Mercedes Moné to sell this as a game-changer for women's wrestling.
They must be allowed to eclipse the drama of the men throughout this story. Just give them the ball to run with something special.
Other than those stories, Brody King vs. Josh Alexander was fantastic, and AEW likely could have put more real action on this card beyond those that worked DoN.
Thekla's arrival was exciting but over so quick that it will take a bit to know fully what she will bring to AEW in the long term.
This was a show that mostly served up strong material for the great video packages to come but did not deliver AEW's absolute best over two hours.
Overall Grade: C+
