Rabada, who had taken 19 wickets in 17 List A matches, claimed a hat-trick in his second over in international cricket.

Tamim Iqbal saw his off-stump pegged back before Litton Das flicked a delivery straight to Farhaan Behardien at mid-wicket.

The hat-trick was completed when he trapped Mahmudullah lbw, emulating the feat of Taijul Islam who took a hat-trick on his ODI debut last year.

Bangladesh were reduced to 40 for four when Rabada picked up his fourth wicket. Soumya Sarkar (29) picked out JP Duminy at cover but Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim stemmed the tide.

Shakib top-scored with 48 before Rabada came back to help polish off the tail, removing Mashrafe Mortaza and Jubair Hossain in consecutive overs.

Chris Morris finished the innings in just 36.3 overs as he bowled Nasir Hossain after an attacking 31.

South Africa's chase was serene despite the loss of skipper Hashim Amla (14) in the sixth over.

The run rate was at five per over when Quinton de Kock departed for 35 in the 14th over and Faf du Plessis (63) and Rilee Rossouw (45) saw their side home with an unbeaten 99-run partnership.

The teams are playing three one-day internationals and two Tests after South Africa won the Twenty20 series 2-0.
